I barely used my 17 Pro today and what used to be maybe 5% of use is now 15-20%

Battery life much much worse on Beta 2
So it looks like they did something that only affects the Pro models, because the Air battery is much improved in beta 2. And everyone with Pro & Pro Max's are complaining about bad battery life. And I have a buddy who has the 17e which also he said the battery is much improved on beta 2.
So something that was messed with it something only the Pro/Pro Max has that would affect their battery life...

Maybe..... but it looks like Instagram is the main draw on the battery for me. It really really sucks it up

I'm on Instagram all the time for my business on my iPhone Air, not seeing that issue at all. Are you running the main Instagram or the TestFlight version? I had issues with TestFlight apps in the past and battery life, so I just stay away from them now...

Just the normal app

12 hours later my m1 iPad Pro is still extremely hot at a point it barely charge when plugged. First time I have this kind of issue ever and I install the first beta of major iPadOS version since a good 10 years. I think I'll have no choice to revert back to iPadOS 26 at this point. I don't want to hurt the iPad itself.
What is going on with 26/27 - did Apple forget these devices run off of batteries?

My battery life is worse to…iPhone 17 pro! I hope next week with beta 3 will be improved. I am looking forward to battery improvement as apple said!

Day 1 iPhone Air now at 92% battery health with 377 charging cycles. I usually do an afternoon charge at work or at home before I head out. Last time I checked battery health, which was probably six months ago, it was at 100%. I am in Arizona so this is the Air's first summer.

This is a lot of charging cycles! While running betas, try shorter and more frequent charging sessions with lower W wired chargers and do not charge to 100%.

Not too worried about battery health. I expect to trade the Air in for another phone by late 2027. If I don't, I'll get a battery replacement for the Air that should be good for another 18-24 months.

15PM on iOS 27.0 (24A5380h) & battery life seems to be much improved. Also 16P and Apple Watch 10.
Yasss!!!! Same here!!!! I felt my iPhone 15 Pro ain’t drain much last night, especially during a night out.

For your information, it charged during the day while I traveled, yet remained strong until I had to go back to the hotel !

I charge my 15 pro overnight with a charge limit.

Did some longish summer vacation drives this week, up and down the east coast, visiting family, going to museums and aquariums, etc. 6-8 hours each leg with CarPlay navigation and Pocket Casts, plus some basic usage while stopped for lunch or gas (Safari, ReadKit, banking apps, etc.). Each leg used about 50% of the 17PM battery. Not concerned. Seems solid enough.

Same here. And also some apps I used to order food or use rewards like Jamba Juice, Taco Bell, etc.

I’m much happier now with the battery life of my m5 iPad Pro on iPadOS 27 Beta 3 than even the later versions of 26. The battery life is what it should be now probably at least the 10 hours that Apple advertises.
