I really want to install it! iOS 26.6 is better but more great. Just don’t want to absolutely kill the battery life on my Air
Same but I carefully read what goes here and there with the changes and opinions, before installing it. I learned my lesson after my MacBook Pro M4 Pro had to be downgraded from macOS golden gate beta to Tahoe due to corruption.

iPhone 17 Pro Max: beta 4 was really bad, and now with beta 5 I'm back at iOS 26.5 levels. Pretty happy.
That’s not saying much, 26.5 was terrible for my 17 Pro. 26.6 is a LOT better, like I was ending the day near 0% and I NEVER used to end the day below 40%. I didn’t realize how bad it had gotten until I upgraded to 26.6 and suddenly had fantastic battery life again.

You’re not the first person to say that 26.5(.2) was terrible for battery life. I’ve been quite surprised by that to be honest.

Every single original iOS version I’ve run has had insanely good battery life. And I’ve run everything from the first point version (iOS 6.0 on an iPod Touch 5G or my current A16 iPad (11th-gen)’s release iPadOS 18.3 to the very final one (iPadOS 15.6 on my iPad Air 5 (M1))

26.6 has also been lauded as a massive improvement pretty frequently, especially for the 17 series.

Not sure if iOS 27 differs from iOS 26, but for me (iOS 26) it was in the battery section.

That’s iOS 18 screenshot and this is usually there from recent updates.

Nope. Indexing was done less than 24 hours after updating. Got the message in setting initially but went away quick this time.

Where does this notification of indexing show up?
You’ll see it below your Apple ID name in settings. Usually when you get SIRI AI set up.
