DB5 on my 16PM was definitely heavy on battery while it was indexing again. After that, I would say that it has been far better than DB3/4 which was horrible.

Unrelated but what app is that in your dynamic island? (also nice pfp! I love kda)
Plant Nanny, it is a gamefied water tracking app that connects to HealthKit and has numerous widgets and live activities to show how you 'water' your plant by drinking water.
More information here: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...d-party-apple-watch-app.2395000/post-33817931 and download from the app store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/plant-nanny-cute-water-tracker/id1424178757

and yep I have been listening to K/DA since last year before Kpop Demon hunters came out. I like the baddest.

No I don’t. I’m too scared to lol. I’m worried about CarPlay functionality. If you use CarPlay, how has it been for you?

Also, yes I have an Apple Watch SE2!
CarPlay I don't use it on beta, it can get laggy .

we can't get watchOS 27 on our  watches , once the battery life gets low we can do a replacement thru AppleCare and hope we get the next series up or two .

Ah yeah I was thinking of upgrading my watch anyways since I kinda want aod and Siri AI on the watch. Does iOS 27 last all day for you on your iPhone?

Same here, but my Series 6 battery health dropped from 84% to 81% two weeks ago. So, I’d need to get it replaced once it falls below 79%.

I do have AOD and the more expensive stainless steel gold model. For two years, I used it when my Series 1 screen separated after 8 years.

On my iPhone 15 Pro, the battery life caused my 15 Pro to dip to the 20s very quickly during beta 4 and 5. I just installed iOS 27 beta 6 , so let’s see if it makes a difference.

Yeah my apple watch is at 79 percent battery health and almost lasts me enough for the day lol.

Let me know how beta 6 is! I didn't realize were pretty much less than a month away from iOS 27 so maybe things are more refined now

Will you get battery replacement for your Apple Watch?

15 Pro had the most terrible battery life ever and it also used to heat up tremendously for doing minor things like clicking photos or 30 sec videos. Compare that to 17 Pro which has awesome battery life and seems to be unchanged on iOS 27 Betas compared to iOS 26.

Anyone seeing large background Mail battery usage? My 17 Pro has been having awful battery life on these later betas.

Why CarPlay usage is missing from battery usage screen? 😐
I can't say for sure, but I have a guess...

I'm sure that there is some overhead in the CarPlay setup and usage, but the bulk of the battery usage is powering the phone to display maps, stream music and talk/text. Those are basic phone functions, and the battery usage should rightly be reported under those activities. Any extension of those activities (car audio system, display screen, etc) are powered by the vehicle itself.

same, in iOS 26 that was more adverse than this year's.

how often does your iPhone fetch emails? Mines is set to hourly which is the least frequent- the  genius had me set it like that to slow it from battery consumption.
Never tested it myself, but I’ve always read that push mail is one of the worst offenders of idle battery consumption.

I’ve always had it disabled (i.e., fetch manually) for that reason. Literally always, I don’t think I’ve ever had it enabled on any device.

If mail is an offender like that I’d just disable push entirely.

Yea I ain’t use push. That is worse than fetch !
Guessing now but could this be related to the new AI & Spotlight DB/index re-build? If you save loads of old mails it could be that it uses the app to gather info.
It does index through that, so that way Siri AI can get personal context off of it.
