WiFI issue (resolved)

Despite working all day yesterday, earlier this morning I noticed my phone hadn't connected to my WiFi.

I rebooted my router to no avail. Then I noticed my Mac (also on 27) wasn't reconnecting to my WiFi even though it was fine right before I rebooted the router.

So I clicked to connect on my Mac and got a message saying that the security had changed from WPA2/WPA3 to WPA3 only (or words to that effect). I clicked "yeah, sure, stop complaining" and it connected fine. A few seconds later, my phone also connected.

Could have been a minor modem/router upgrade pushed by my provider, or a bug in iOS/MacOS 27. I do know that my config has been WPA3 only for months, so unsure really what triggered this.

Minimal and Clean lockscreen.
Lovin it.

Thanks for posting this. All I’ve seen before were screens of the lock screen option for the minimalist clock. This is the first I’ve seen the actual lock screen.

I actually sent this to Apple a suggested upgrade, probably with a million other people. I like the options for the big clocks, but sometimes I don’t want a huge clock covering a background.

My phone has been indexing for roughly 24 hrs now, 16 hrs of it plugged in (while asleep, and while at work). I wonder if it will finish anytime soon lol

I don’t think so. Apple Intelligence and Siri is now just Siri. I thought, at first, then turning off Siri would turn off Apple Intelligence but it still seems active in apps like Mail with summaries.

Also there was no option to disable Apple Intelligence on install like we’ve had in the past. I guess it’s too baked in now to have an off switch?
Thanks for this. I’ve been very curious what options there would be about Siri and Apple Intelligence.

I hoped AI could be controlled at the app level but definitely wishful thinking.

I’ve wondered (before the beta) if you could turn off AI and then basically get the classic Siri. Yes, many would groan at that.

Just my own opinion, I think there are many people who would still like a voice assistant but without all of the AI. It seems now that Siri and AI are closely tied or even inseparable.

Still in indexing, still on the waitlist, 20 hrs for both. 🤷🏻‍♂️
The indexing notification states "Longer charging sessions help indexing go faster." so I think I'll leave it plugged in today to see if it completes.

Also wonder if the new Siri won't activate until AFTER the initial indexing completes.

I was trying to figure out an issue with wifi since updating to 27 and ut turns out Auto Join was turned off for some reason... I definitely didn't turn it off since it's my main home network.

A few CarPlay changes I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere else yet:

The dock, as well as widgets in Split View, are significantly more translucent. Not a huge fan of that.

Apps now have the same opening and closing animation as on iPhone! Big fan of that change.
Nah, I like the change. It makes it feel more iOS-like. CarPlay on 26 felt disjointed, when it even worked.

can't hep myself ... after having made it out of the waitlist and everything runs surprisingly smooth ... even with the clean look of the "New Siri", I miss the glowing edges of the previous Siri ... sigh

Ok this is a strange one.
Apparently the beta profile has been spontaneously removed from my iPhone.
I can’t even file feedback anymore.
And I didn’t restart my phone once since the update in order to not disturb the indexing. Weird and very frustrating.
