Why not use the Denon AVR app to control your receiver?

It's for when I'm typing away on my Mac (such as typing this post), and just want to quickly change the radio station.

So on Firefox, I simply click the bookmark which changes the station, or type the "keyword" I have associated with the bookmark. As an example, typing "t1" in the address bar runs <url>/TPAN01. I like it.

I'd sync'd my bookmarks from Firefox to Safari on my laptop (for the odd time I use Safari) which caused the problem. iCloud then sync'd the bookmarks from MacOS Safari on to iOS, so the problem happened there, too. Easy fix - remove those bookmarks from Safari and of a Feedback in case it's a bug.

(I also have back-tap on my phone set to send the "mute" command so that I can just tap the phone if I get a call and want silence, but this is nothing to do with Firefox/Safari.)

My situation might be very different from yours since my Outlook account is managed by the company I work for. For example, I can't take screenshots or copy/paste info from Outlook content due to restrictions. When asking Siri AI questions about content from my Outlook email, it can't access it.
That is why I was thinking of adding my work email and calendar to Apple Mail and Apple Calendar on my iPad. I hate how every calendar entry shows on Apple CarPlay. I have a few entries in my phones calendar that I want to show, but not all my business meetings.

What I am hoping will work is add my business email and calendar to the iPad so Siri can index it, then use Outlook on my phone. I then want to ask Siri questions about meetings and emails while I am out and about and my iPad be at home. Since Siri AI is supposed to work "on device", I am not sure this is actually going to work. I was hoping someone could test this. I would test it myself, but I am still waiting to get off the waitlist. lol.

I have T mobile and notice I’m getting a poor connection compared to my wife’s phone. I usually get a more consistent connection. But the past few days my phone was showing “sos” and hers had 1 bar 5G and yes, I could text and do minimal on hers. I have the 16 PM she has the 15 plus with 26.5.1

Anyone else notice this?

Seems like a common issue that they're working on

One issue I thought might be resolved, or solved for, with this new Siri thing is to be able to recognize a custom named Focus. It can't which surprises me. It knows "turn on DND" or "turn on sleep" but to say "turn on (name)" and all I get it "sorry I don't understand" or "which room?"

Have you fed that back? That’s a good one.

iPhone Air - have Siri and still indexing.

Had to turn off “Limit IP Address Tracking” to get WiFi to work correctly. With it on I get connectivity failures and a good bit of using 5G to augment data.

It has been just over 24hrs since I turned this off and have not had a re-occurrence.

I understand now thanks for the explanation

Do you have an OEM CarPlay or aftermarket? Wireless or wired? So far my aftermarket CarPlay (Honda and Toyota) have been rock solid..with the exception of Siri flaking out on certain commands.
I have OEM wired CarPlay but use an aftermarket wireless adapter. While it did have occasional crashes in the past, it was nowhere near the frequency I’m seeing now, even early on in this beta cycle.

I’ll see how it does on the way home after the restart I did earlier and report back.

You might want to delete the connection from Bluetooth and CarPlay and rest and initialize.
I had to do this with iOS 26 on my wife’s car and mine. Been fine since then. Both are wireless CarPlay.

Okay, I know I have been complaining about the new Siri but there’s some useful stuff that works well. First off, I’m in SC vacationing and while driving I said to Siri “find me the cheapest gas nearby “ it searched for 5 seconds and gave me an option. I checked later and it was indeed the cheapest option.

Next thing was “Siri, navigate to XYZ Restaurant “ I didn’t say the town or anything and Siri picked it up immediately and navigated.

Still needs testing but Siri is “growing on me”

Thanks for the tip - turning off IP masking seems to have fixed my wifi issues as well.

It seems that in iOS/MacOS 27, Safari somehow goes through all the bookmarks, probably trying to get a favicon. This actually sends the commands to my Denon AVR. I deleted all those bookmarks and the problem is fixed.
You could try replacing them with bookmarklets (javascript:… URLs), which Safari hopefully won’t invoke on its own. Or with Shortcuts, of course.

I wonder if there’s a privacy issue there, due to browser fingerprinting if not cookies. Honestly I don’t want Safari to fetch favicons without me visiting the site.
