You may be misunderstanding the objective of this phase of testing. The formalized "Test Plan" approach only gets you so far; any other internal employee can follow a Test Plan and verify the results are as expected.

The more difficult testing to pass doesn't require a plan: the public beta is all about putting the software in front of users who were not involved in the development process, who have no knowledge of the developers expectations, and who are unpredictable. These are the people who would promptly do exactly what is not on the plan; their entire purpose is to break it... and many of them (apparently yourself included) are very good at what they do.
I fully agree, I was extrapolating ad absurdum, but I would still like to see some sort of release note that is intelligible by the Public, and an Apple public beta forum. I will continue to lobby for a beta section in the Apple Support Community, but in the mean time the word Beta triggers a moderator response, and we have to rely on Macrumors!

P.s. with a home button phone, yes I usually find bugs unrelated to the new features.

Likely June 22-23
That said... so far, I haven't encountered more than just slightly annoying anomalies in the current beta for 27 -- though, I'm still in the waiting list for Siri AI. Hopefully, my observation of this level of stability persists through the rest of this cycle's betas, as it has been awhile since I last chose to dip my toe into the deep end. 😎

My only major complaint is the iOS glass shadows/edges are very very harsh and sharpened compared to MacOS. I hope DB2 brings the macOS glass over.

I've only got 27 installed on my iPhone and I didn't even realise the elements render differently. LG on iOS 27 feels way off to me. Like what even is this?? A glass button, on top of a glass bar, on top of flat ui. I like the macOS look much better but iPhone needs its progressive blur and shadows back as the default look imo.

Will beta 2 release tomorrow ?
I wish. But if my memory serves me right on past beta’s, we have at least another week. I’m hoping first thing they fix is battery issues. Specifically charging limits. There are times I’ll plug into high speed charger and my phone pulls like 1-3 watts. So little that my battery loses power while plugged in.

Will beta 2 release tomorrow ?

Going by the previous years, most likely next week, so on 22-23 June.

There is a special dedicated forum for it here:

It’s supposed to have an entire shaded circle in the center of the button to tie it all together like MacOS. That round shadow is missing, so it breaks the whole illusion of a button and it just looks like an oblong circle.

Really hope they push the fully-shaded glass to DB2!

I might be missing something here, but what has this got to do with iOS 27 speculation?
Three posts up there’s a blurrier comparison of iOS/iPadOS 27 LG with harsher dark grey outline around buttons and macOS 27 LG with lighter grey outline and white chamfering-like detail inside of the outline.

Historically in recent years beta 1 to 2 has been at least 2 weeks. Plus 26.6 beta 2 is due as well. I would say next week for 27.0 beta 2.
The only reason I think there’s even a 1% chance we could get beta 2 today is because glass shading/appearance is broken for everyone in light mode on iOS and iPadOS, so they may not want it getting posted everywhere. They still can’t get away from screenshots of the 26.0 DB1 control center to this day.

Still, knowing Apple, they’ll probably leave it broken until DB2 or DB3 🫪
