iOS 4.2 Beta 2 for iPad is up

Yep you're late. Been there since April 3rd, 2010.

Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Caps Lock.

Tah-dah!

Then just double-tap the shift key to turn it on and off.

Seriously, people!

It's not only for HP devices. It's just that HP are the only manufacturer that currently has models that support airprint style printing. Other printer manufacturers will be delivering printers with this capability too, but HP was first out of the gate.
 
My first time ever as a registered developer. I am not a sophisticated coder, I don't jailbreak, and I don't like to deal with kludge. I did a clean restore and all has gone well. I really like it and so far I am very glad I did it. for all the same reasons 4.0 was huge on the iphone: mulitple email account viewing, folders, quick switching. I haven't tried some of the wireless media features yet.

Only two issues noticed so far, but I have not tried all my apps.

I had to add MobileMe via iTunes as others have stated, but it works perfectly once I did that. Backdrops HD does not work; it opened initially and started to download wallpapers then crashed and wont run.

I think I would have pulled my hair out with beta 1 but I am pleased with 2.

Wow- I should ban myself. I never looked at the keyboard settings haha. Pretend that post never happened.

10.6.5 is required for airprint to work.

This worked fine in beta 1.

Why do they need to add it to Itunes?

Seems needless unless it is a windows only feature.

Yeap. Been in iPhone for quite a while. Maybe even iPhone 1.0. Can't remember that far back. LOL!
 
Anyone tried the The Weather Channel app for iPad yet? Crashed 100% of the time on beta 1. Haven't had a chance to try beta 2 yet.
 
I'm confused by the new sub forum situation. Why should this topic be here and not in General iPad? Also, I think it worked fine previously. Too much segregation is a bad thing, I feel.

Also what am I supposed to do? Check two different iPad forums now. and where should I post which thread to? Some threads are on a grey line. I'm very upset.
 
another cosmetic change...

It appears Apple changed the iTunes icon on the "Connect to iTunes" screen in order to activate the device. The iTunes icon on that screen now is the same icon of iTunes 10.
 
Who also installed iTunes 10.1b5

I'm having issues with playing DRM videos via iTunes. It keeps asking to Authorize my computer but after doing so, all I get is a gray screen.

Anyone?

Nevermind...

Reboot and I'm good.

I agree. I think putting this stuff in a subforum is a dumb idea.
 
i already restored twice now mine.. go to settings and select sounds and it freezes.. anyone experiencing this? damn!
 
Hi Guys

I have à little question.

I am in THE states now and using à AT&T sim in my iPad.
Only when i updated to beta1 the AT&T menu item under celuar data was gone (so i downgraded my iPad to 3.2.2 because i have to know how mutch data i have left)

Can annybody here please check for me if THE AT&T menu item is back in beta2 ?

Has any tried iOS 4.2 beta 2 with magazines like sports illustrated? I had to downgrade from 4.2 beta 1 because it was causing various magazines and the wall street journal to render very slowly.
