What are you talking about?! It's one of the best and smoothest OS updates for Apple. Of course there will be your occasional error here and there, but overall iOS4 rolled out pretty smooth compared to previous ones.
Ok what is going on here... i have gm installed and 1 itunes doesnt recognize that there is even a difference between gm and final, just says "your software is up to date". 2 they have the same build number and when looking at the files there is only a 400kb difference. Are they the same thing????
CAN, some one Please tell me how to enable this, for sms, on a 3gs, running ios4. I have searched for an hour, on these forums. Thanks.
Multitasking and quick app switching do NOT work on the 3G. These are features specifically for the 3GS and iPhone 4 (as well as the latest iPod touch).
Double tapping the home button and swiping to the left (moving the icons right) doesn't work?
maybe i'm showing my age here... but i've never seen a background image on the home page that looks better than just the black screen.
every background i've seen looks terrible, and only makes it way harder to see the icons.
i know people have been clamoring for background images... i just think they all suck. is it just me?
well that explains it thanks. what about the ability to have a picture wallpaper on the apps pages will that work for the 3g?

While upgrading to iOS4 on my 3G I noticed I got the water droplet background, once it finished no dice. Oh well, three days until iPhone 4.
No, I guess not... From the home screen? Or in the app? It just brings up multitasking dock, swiping after that just ends the dock?
You should be able to swipe to the right, revealing some iPod controls, and, at the far left, the screen lock icon.
That is, move your finger in this --------> direction.
