I had this same issue in Beta 5. Any attempt to sync both my iPad and iPhone, whether plugged in or wirelessly caused it to tell me that iTunes had been synced with another iOS device and that I needed to either restore from an older backup or set up my device as a new one. I searched around a little bit and found a solution that worked.

Connect your device to your computer with iTunes open. When it shows the screen that asks if you want to restore or set it up as a new device, select new device and click Next. On the next screen, it'll ask you to name your phone. Just click Next again. As soon as iTunes starts the sync session, unplug your device immediately. After a few seconds, iTunes will say that the sync session failed, but the next time you connect your phone, it should work normally again. I didn't have to reset my phone, but it did reset some of my preferences and tried to install all the apps I had in iTunes the next time I did a sync. However, it's much easier to clean that up than to go through a whole backup and restore.

I'll keep this in mind, thanks! I'm doing a full restore right now from a backup.

Beta 6 - Multiple Google calendars work again

Have just done the OTA on my iPad 2 and not had time too see much, but finally (bug in all other betas) the calendar gives you access to multiple Google calendars and not only the main one on your account.

They changed the twitter tone! That was my text tone damnit!

The ironic thing is, more code may actually increase the mass, due to increased entropy in the memory (it's been a few years since I did thermodynamics, I can't recall if entropy contributes to net mass or not).

Actually a CalTech study in the late 90s showed that in between 1s & 0s the 0s "weight" more than the 1s. They demonstrated this by loading nanocarbon flash memory with different test patterns and checking the weight with an atomic scale.

I think the study was widely reported on April 1st, 1998.

The new one is really nice though!

It was mine too... bastards! lol

Can't Install

Downloaded the OTA update, it finished downloading, says downloaded, but the button to "Install Now" is greyed out and unclickable.

My iCloud says "iPhone is being restored, cannot back up to iCloud" so I did what someone suggested, deleted the account and readded it. Now the iCloud Backup is grayed out and I can't turn it on or backup.

Now what?

April 1st, huh? Then it must be true!

not sure if this was allowed in previous releases but it lets me pick my custom made ringtones for text tones. so all i did was make a very short ringtone and made it my text sound.

old news, i made a thread when that was enabled in Beta 3 :)

Yup! Maybe this is the last beta!

if that had said 8/29/11 then maybe, but it said 9/29/11

I hope this one is getting more stable. I don't remember this many betas for an iOS release ever.

iOS 2 had 8 and iOS 3 had 6 (i think, i should go look that up again).

iCloud back-up is disabled on my iPad. Odd. Works on the phone....

i had that with beta 5, turns out iCloud restore had spazzed on me

I've never been able to get iTunes sharing in the Music app to work correctly with iOS 5. Am I alone in this?

My home button seems to need to be hit multiple times for it to work. Hoping this gets fixed!!!

The twitter text tone sounds different than the last beta... it actually frightened me earlier. haha

I found a soundboard online with Lil Jon and Dave Chappelle saying:

What, Yeah, Okay.

I've got those as text tones now. It's awesome.

My photo app says the photos are restoring constantly, album view gives a different number of restored photos to the view inside the album. Anyone else got this?

I'm getting the same thing, I even have photo stream turned off...continues to restore photos...what gives??
