why not? :S no holiday where i come from :D

You obviously don't "come from" where Apple is...

Guys...on Apple's website it says iOS 6 will come out this FALL. The first day of fall is September 22nd. I think we'll get iOS 6 the day after iPhone 5

No way they will wait that long. They throw out "fall" as a generic term, not an absolute. iOS 6 will come out between the 12th and the 21st.

Important

1. Just thought I'd let the true developers worried about how their authenticated keys for iOS 6 know, Apple will be releasing the GM for developers this week. The official iPhone keynote will be next Wednesday (12th of September).

I cannot give any further information regarding iOS in this public forum, but if you'd like to know more please feel free to contact me.

2. Apple will be holding two separate events, one for iPhone in September, and one for iPad in October

I cannot give any further information regarding iPhone or iPad in this public forum, but if you'd like to know more please feel free to contact me.

the next beta aka GM will be released after the keynote on the 12th not a min sooner.

Maybe not for you, but developers do get GMs before the public, it's how it's always been friend.

Historically, GMs have come out the day of the keynote. It has to be this way, because there are always unannounced features in them (last year, Siri. This year, longer screen support.)

you my friend are far from it, the last two major updates. ios 5 and ios 4, the GMs came out the same day as the keynote. not before.
theres always extra stuff that apple doesnt want leaked out before the keynote.

Bigger screen, new enhancements etc. selling new iPhone 4S 6 months old 32gb and getting new one pre-ordered.

September 12th: GM for devs (no more betas between now and then)
September 19th: Public Release for everyone
September 21st: New iPhone released

iOS 6 will not come out to the public on the same day as the iPhone is released as it's too much for the servers.

I guess we won't get 5 Betas this year...like iOS 5.

GM next Wednesday.

I like the timeline, but when are pre-orders going to start? Sept 14th? Or right away?

This is pretty much the schedule.

Yes I know. We(me being a developer will get it on the 12) the public won't have it till closer to the 21st.

you stated developers will have the GM this week. which is not true.

Yeeeees, and it's announced at the keynote that the build "will be released to our developers, today". Developers do indeed get the GM before the public, because they release the GM on the day of the keynote and the public NEVER get a "GM", they get the public release alongside the new iPhone, via iTunes.

The real question. Will GM be OTA?

It wasn't with iOS5... but then again OTA was a new, beta'ish feature at that time.

I'm not counting on it. But would be nice.
