great improvements, the font looks a lot better now and thank god the wifi issue has also been solved.

omg my battery life is *way* worse than with beta 2. WTH happened!? I performed the install using the update feature rather than a clean full install. Anyone else see excessive battery drain? I'm talking 1% every 3-4 minutes with no open apps.
Couple of things. First, the OS does a lot of updating during the first half hour or so once you've updated. Second, they have various debugging things turned on and don't optimize for speed until there close to release. So I'm not very worried.

I'd really love to be able to invert the colors to black... and sorry, not the "invert" accesibility feature.

Nothing more annoying then seeing your pictures surrounded by white areas. It turns black when you hit edit, but thats not enought...

seriously don't think photos should have white backgrounds..

Posts like these make you appreciate the beta process of announcing a new OS. It's really good to see Apple working hard to polish out the nooks and crannies and make sure everything is perfect and as it should be before iOS 7 is thrust into the unforgiving hands of the public.

But it is conceptually consistent with the blue dot that currently denotes:
  • Newly downloaded and unread emails (iOX and OSX)
  • Newly downloaded and unwatched movies in iTunes (Mac iTunes and ATV)

What's the point of denoting not launched apps? It's like applying blue dots to not yet seen Settings menu items. There should be some meaning in every feature.

Double notifications?

Since Beta 2, when i get an email, i get two notifications on the lock screen. i can swipe either one, and it goes to the same email -- only one email.

i know it was an issue in beta 2. the release notes say it was fixed in beta 3, but doesn't seem to have done it for me.

anyone else having this issue?

mike

Messages GB overkill?

Two things:
First I still don't have weather in my notification center.
Second, please tell me how to delete the phantom messages (2.5gb) that show on my usage.

I have the same problem with 2.3GB in messages. This cant be right can it?

Now a clock icon in control center that looks like the LG logo. And the only thing ever relevant for me in a control center, fast wifi terhering, is not there. The rest is almost useless for me.

I'm hoping they'll allow them to be changed. Calculator... who needs quick access to that?! lol Or even the clock! I appreciate the torch and camera there though, but would like to switch them for other things. There's a whole Control Centre section in the settings for switching on/off - I'm hoping it becomes more like the notification centre section, for switching individual apps on/off and moving around.

no need to hit edit. just tap the pic and the background turns black.

Ehm, can't seem to unlock my sim...

There's a tip on the developer forums about that. Don't swipe the notification on the lockscreen. Swipe to unlock as normal and the "unlock" prompt will be there waiting for you.

Is it me or in settings>general>usage you get to see your message mb data saved? Man i have over 2gb yet i deleted all my imessages and texts  now how do i get rid of that without fresh install!:confused:

That's a bug that's been around since about iOS 5. Attachments were never getting deleting no matter how you deleted messages. They fixed it in an iOS 6 update lately, to make sure that attachments are deleted, but didn't do anything about the already orphaned attachments. Only way I got rid was through jailbreaking, removing them, backing up and restoring from backup. Or set up as new.

----------

Worked up until Beta 3 for me.

Here's one of my notes from Beta 1

I like it. Automatically shows music controls if there's a song playing. If not, have to use control centre.

THANK YOU APPLE for removing that damn .com button in Safari right where the space bar used to be. It messed me up every time. Holding dot down to get .com and .org makes a lot of sense to me.

YEah.co.ukthat.co.ukwas.co.ukreally.co.ukannoying! (I'm in the UK, hated that it was even .co.uk not .com... nobody uses .co.uk! lol)

The font changes are ugly. The new Ultra Light font was great because it made it seem sleek/new/cool.

Why not keep the heavier font as an option or as an accessibility option?

I had to uninstall iOS 7 beta 2 since I couldn't really use my phone any more. The battery life seemed poor and things were always crashing. I sure hope they decide to fix those things before release.

That's a beta for you.. all sorts of stuff going on in the background so if you really need your device, best waiting til later betas before testing your apps and hope you can quick fix..

Biggest change I've noticed is that they've ditched transparency. The Control Center, Notification Center, the volume adjuster, Safari address bar and bottom icons, video controls, and much more are not transparent at all anymore on my iPhone 5. Haven't seen mention of it anywhere else. Elements are still transparent on my freshly-updated iPad. Attached a few photos of the phone. Cheers!

EDIT: As mentioned below, the "Increase Contrast" setting will make transparency go away now. I actually prefer this a little better!

hmmm, I'd like more transparency, perhaps a slider would be nicer, so I can have less contrast between layers.

Why were you installing beta software on your main phone? ;)

Ah that always amuses me.. How are the real life usage bugs supposed to get tested if people can't install it on their main real life usage phone? ;)

After filing over 15 ui related bugs, I learned that apple doesn't listen when it comes to that. Functional errors-yes. UI? It feels like "don't think you can teach us anything in that department" :)

I don't know, I mentioned the folders were ugly, please increase transparency (that was on beta 1) and now in beta 3 they have - so they do listen (I guess it depends on the amount of people who complain maybe?)
