My ipad has had a series of these huge crashes and I can't do any thing but take screen shots :*( I'm really bummed. It still isnt working. Its stuck on you page in safari

You do realise that the original iPhone would have looked something like this without Jobs asking Ive's team to revise the whole design at the last minute:

Image

Not that I particularly care about Jobs, but far from just a salesman if you ask me.

psh.. dots for cellular signal that'll never happen..

"slide to answer" in the lock screen was also updated with a look similar to the "slide to turn off" screen.

iOS7 just isn't very exciting.

& blah blah blah... Yada ya da ... Whine moan...

iOS7....yawn......

Ya, got it. Thanks. Your post is super boring and predictable. You're from the over-entitled, spoiled, "I need to be entertained or I'll friggin die" generation. Go Android, dude... It's made by your peeps for your peeps.

Twitter App has been weird since b4 n not fixed on this beta. I need to tap n hold the buttons on the bottom to access them. I dont know if its just me or anyone else get the same thing on twitter app. Any fix for this? I tried deleting the app and installing a new one. No change. :(

Panorama Scrolling

For anyone else, do panorama images no longer scroll the whole photo if you set them as backgrounds? I used to always have this and now they don't scroll.:(

And get a job while you're at it and pay my social security, b**ch

OK, agreed. But I, and would assume, most people, tend to have the most used apps on the 1st screen. That's where we spend most of the time. On top of that you can push the home button to go to the 1st page...

I always hated the spotlight search to the left of home. I went there by accident all the time. I even used a jail break to disable this. Swiping down is so much better, doesn't interfere with any other operations

On beta 5? I'm having the same problem on my iPad 3. Crashes on almost every web page. I'm going to do a restore tonight and see if that fixes it

I'm not sure how, but Apple took the iOS personality and snuffed it. The UI is ultra-boring, just like bauhaus architecture: it looks great, but you wouldn't want to live in it.

The UI has moved from delightful to cool. Using it makes me want to throw my phone away. It's like Apple has sucked all the joy out of the UI and replaced it with futura.

You are spot on. The icon set that this guy created is still much much better than what Ive and his team have cobbled together in their ideologically motivated stupor: http://www.behance.net/gallery/iPhone-6-An-edgy-concept/7617209

It is fresh, shows variety and has some skeumorphic features done in a nice way.

The truth is that the human eye likes to see different colors, gradients and small details. After all, in nature, monochromness, flatness and minimalism doesn't exist. Even the sky on a nice day is not one color, but a gradient with hopefully a few bubbly clouds making things interesting. Imagine how boring life would be if the sky was only one solid block of blue. But that is what Ive is trying to sell us with iOS 7.

This just proves they are not just making changes for changes sake. Everything they seem to be doing is an improvement. Ive and the team are working hard to ensure iOS7 is as perfect as iOS6. And I love it

It should be light years better or the whole thing was kinda pointless, no?

Did anyone else's default search engine change to Yahoo?

Mine is still Google.

And still no changes to the Photos icon?! :( C'mon, Apple, people seem to prefer it:

Image

Who said that it needs to be changed? Particulary to something that looks almoust identical?

Does it drive anyone else nuts that they got rid of the bars displayed in the status bar for the signal? I can't stand looking at these dots.

I may be the only one but much prefrer the dots.

i hate what they did to the music player app.

when are they going to add back in the scroll alphabetically bar on the right side of the music player app? i have a very large library. one artist has over 250 albums (including lots of live albums). i don't need to see every track for every album listed. show me the albums and then when i find the one that i want i will click on it to display only those tracks.

I agree. The iOS 7 music app is an absolute disaster for large libraries. It was obviously designed for and by somebody who has 200 tracks in their library. The kind of person who downloads one song per album. The iOS 6 music app was fantastic for larger libraries. This is a horrible step back and for me nearly unusable. At least they could have an option to have the albums be collapsed instead of giving you no choice but to scroll through an endless list of tracks.

Folders suck

I see very little on this. But folders are just unfunctional and ugly. The thin title over an un blurry background is often unreadable. The folder is just a blurry square. There's no context either like ios6. I loved how 6 split open the screen to reveal what's under or inside the folder. Plus it was guaranteed easy to read the title. And how do you close a folder in 7? Click somewhere else I guess. Kinda tacky. But in ios6 you simply pressed the spot your finger just pressed. The folder! Simple. Elegant. Functional. Unique. Intuitive.

Completely agree and I also hate how they removed "shuffle songs" from the genre page.

I used to go into Rap and just shuffle they entire library. They need to to fix the music player app ASAP.

It may have been said but if not...

All this flip-flopping of design changes in the UI suggest to me that they don't have a clear idea on what they want. I know it's beta software but I don't recall any previous UI flip-flopping like this in betas. They knew what they wanted and stuck with it.

This doesn't fill me with confidence because it seems that the design they released back at WWDC was cobbled together at the last minute, or at least that they hadn't given it full thought. FWIW, the new white slide button icons are nice.
