Can you similarly turn off the pull down search? I don't know how many times I have accidentally activated it.

Finnally someone at Apple spotted the "The Emperor's New Clothes"

The oversimplification that has been done with the icons was ridiculous. I find myself spending more time reading the text than choosing the icon.

Finally, DO NOT punish your users by removing things that have become natural to them. Going left on the home screen MUST, send you to "spotlight"/search iPhone. Why make everyone angry about something that is useful and everyone is used to?
There is no inovation in sliding from the top, it is just someone's fit out of lack of innovation. Wake up!

You don't speak for everyone. I like spotlight being able to be accessed anywhere. I don't have to scroll through 5 pages to go all the way to the left to access spotlight.

New Twitter icon in settings.

When selecting multiple emails in Mail, the "Trash" button has been moved to the right.

And likewise, when in Trash, "Delete all" has been moved to the right.

I don't fault Apple for iterating on their dramatic iOS redesign during this beta but it must be a nightmare for developers trying to ready their apps for iOS 7 and adapt a matching "look." I wonder how many developers had made simple blue line art icons for settings or selections in their apps and now see Apple creating color boxes with white line art instead and are saying "WTF Apple?"

I personally think this is a step backwards. The original flat was cleaner. Possible someone at apple feels the pressure to adjust to the mainstream?

Problem is when it's super flat people complain that Apple sucked all the life out of iOS, too much white, etc. When Apple dials it back then other people complain its not flat enough, and the old way was cleaner. I personally like a bit more color as it does minimize some of the whiteness. My guess is the first couple betas we got weren't really ready for prime time and what we're seeing in B4/5 would really have been B1 under normal circumstance (i.e. not redesigning an entire UI in 7 months).

Skype

Skype is now working perfectly for me, no crashing anywhere.

I'm glad they are slowing adding color back into iOS 7. it has too much white
Same here, and it really does wonders for usability in this case. See how easily the colors group similar items like Wifi/BT and Cellular/Hotspot? One of the basic Gestalt laws was missing from the first betas and I'm very happy to see it back in use again.

Thank you Apple usability team!

I'm not sure how, but Apple took the iOS personality and snuffed it. The UI is ultra-boring, just like bauhaus architecture: it looks great, but you wouldn't want to live in it.

The UI has moved from delightful to cool. Using it makes me want to throw my phone away. It's like Apple has sucked all the joy out of the UI and replaced it with futura.

Helvetica Neue Light, to be exact.

I'm not angry about it at all. Some may find the search page useful but for me I'd just as soon be able to turn it off completely. I never use it but keep ending up on it when I swipe left one too many times. I'm really looking forward to the search being a pull down from the top of the screen. It will be out of my way.

I am fan of different colors in icons to make it easier to find what I am looking for, but I actually like the all blue and white icons much better in this case, as they are more legible, with more contrast and thicker lines.

Just noticed few new things. When yu are registering for a new account in any website, safari suggest you possible strong passwords and auto saves it across your devices..

Also when using multi tasking ( double tap hb), the app icon at the bottom slides into view.. I think that's a new feature..

Also another important change is while ure checking for new mail, the brightness keeps flickering as it's mail app is refreshing.. Kinda a life saver and saves some power!!

OK, agreed. But I, and would assume, most people, tend to have the most used apps on the 1st screen. That's where we spend most of the time. On top of that you can push the home button to go to the 1st page...

Um, many people, including myself, would LOVE to live in a Bauhaus style home.
