That would be pretty clever, if these icons were just decoys for beta testing while the real icons were kept secret.
However, if that turns out to be the case, I will eat my right sock.
Washed or Worn ??? We'd need video proof

I bought the iPAd 3 on launch and returned a few days later. Couldn't handle the lag.
its embarrassing that Apple even released it to begin with.
glad i didn't buy the rMBP... they appear to suffer the same curse
I would think the Apple software engineers are actually further ahead than the betas they release. I'm also going on the theory that there are features that are being held back so that there are a few surprises on release day. Wasn't Siri left out of the betas for iOS5?The software is far from GM ready. I don't know if they can make that timeline.
Which version of iOS? Even on iOS 6 my 3rd gen. was a bit wonky.
Washed or Worn ??? We'd need video proof![]()
there is most likely a lot of changes from beta 5 to 6 to the GM version so I'm sure its going to be ready by September 10th.
you just know everyone will be gunning for ya, Apple.
Worn sock, because a sock does not become "left" or "right" until it is worn. A washed sock lives in a quantum state of both "left" and "right", until it is worn.
If these icons do turn out to be decoys and the publicaly-released version is drastically different, quote me on this and I will put up a youtube video![]()
Gosh ! You know more than Apple, hope they call you to check before release. The software is far from GM ready. I don't know if they can make that timeline.
This is by far the most excited I've been for an OS, for like, ever. I can't wait to install it come September.
I won't be. If I'm honest, I hope it goes down badly. But I doubt it will.
I can see why Apple don't want multiple user accounts - they'd prefer that families didn't share one iPad, etc.
But they do need a guest account feature similar to the one in OS X. People are always asking to check their mail/Facebook/whatever on my iphone. The problem is that I'm permanently signed into my work email, Twitter and Facebook accounts, not to mention Safari, photos, banking apps, Messages, a journaling app, etc. It's not that I don't trust people, but it would sure be nice and convenient to just have a guest mode.
Your statement contradicts itself. If u thought there were going to be minor changes between now and the 10th, then u could say "I'm sure it's going to be ready". Not the other way around.
Why would wish for other people's failure? You must be fun to be around.
No, but I am complaining about the terrible look of the iPod app. Bundling all albums/songs by an Artist into one screen? Taking away the ability to shuffle all songs by an artist? Yeah yeah you can tell Siri to, "shuffle songs by System of a Down," but this shouldn't have to be the only way to accomplish this...
And has anyone else noticed pano-wallpaper panning get broken in Beta 5? Mine did. And that god-awful wait time for a reboot. *sigh*
I love iOS 7 don't get me wrong. This late in the beta testing, its the little things you can nit-pick and complain about.![]()
Hmm, I was actually surprised by how stable it was on this beta! Only app thats been crashing for me is the iTunes Store.Hope they fix Safari in the next Beta. The current one's been crashing like crazy!
This.
I'm still getting regular Safari crashes and occasional OS crashes.
As someone who has been using beta 1 through beta 5 on 3 different devices
iOS7 has a ways to go before GM imo
