I can see it now:

"'PRISM' would like to access your contacts."

"Allow or Deny?"

Awesome. Apple has its mojo again. Even in the keynote, they seem so confident.

However, lets first witness the forum users first heavily scrutinise the new design, then mock it, then accuse apple of copying Samsung.

Thankfully, most of them are on my "Ignore" list. :p

I personally love what they did with ios7. I guess this colorful interface will go great with the multi color low cost iPhone;)

As far as quick replies go, you can always create keyboard shortcuts (settings > general > keyboard) for as many quick replies as you need.

Yeah I wondered why people were complaining when this has been around for a while, unless it's not what they are referring to (however as 10.9 has it now, it must be)

----------

Nah, that's not what we are talking about. We are talking about being able to respond from the notification, so we wouldn't have to leave the app we are in to respond to a message. It's a really useful feature if you like gaming or watching movies on your iPhone.

Ah got it. Figures it would be right after I replied to the same comment  Yeah a friend asked me about it and I'm surprised it's still not engineered.

----------

That, and unfortunately, it seems like it will be as restrictive as iOS6 ie. no default apps, not lock screen customizations, etc etc.

There will always be a "but" for these people. "It can't wipe your ***", "It can't print money!", and when all else fails, my favourite, "Sheeple!"

The panoramic wallpaper looks so cool!!!

----------

That would be me. The ability to dump Newsstand into a folder with all the other apps I don't want is nice. Even nicer would be the ability to hide apps I don't want to see, like android does and BlackBerry did several years ago. If you use it that's great. I don't and don't want it cluttering up the screen.

Put it on the last page. I'd also like to murder some apps (Game Center, iTunes, and Videos), but it's not that difficult to put them on the last page, and that's what I do.

----------

I'm sure it will be fine in use but DAMN iOS 7 is freaking UGLY!!! And before people start yelling Troll, I very much like apple products and own many. I wish they has removed the excess skeuomorphism but left some gloss and reflection and 3D.

Yeah, the settings app is horrible. It looks like the junk I've been avoiding by not buying a cheap 'Droid. Why not just clean up iOS 6's design a bit? I know why; it's not "new" or "innovation" unless it looks a lot different :p.

----------

"App Permission for Microphone Access - Apps are now required to ask permission to access the microphone, similar to how apps currently ask to access location data or the camera."

Talk about overkill. It reminds me of "Mac is requesting access to talk to you. Cancel or allow?" Oh well, it will make the Libertarians happy.

Any chance of the music app rotating, so I don't have to look at my screen upside down in my cupholder? or are we all supposed to buy a car with bluetooth integration, and not use an auxiliary input?

That would be a part of the tracking cellular per app. You can disable it for any app, including the App Store.

Holy cow, I've been waiting for that. Finally I can disable cellular data in apps that I only want to use on wifi. That is, every single app that doesn't need a connection besides to load ads gets trolled :D

So what does the people hear when you block them with the iPhone?
"this person blocked you with their iPhone iOS7 because you can't leave them alone" ?

There are still some bugs, but overall it's decent for a beta. I still think the icons need some work and folders definitely need some work. A whole screen of gray squares doesn't look good. I don't know why they don't make it transparent.

I guess I was hoping for something similar to this: Image

I think icons with raised elements and shadows would look cool. Could add the perspective effect so the shadow changes based on the light sensor.

Who did that mockup? That is what I would like to see the icons look like.

The icons are the one thing that I really hate about iOS7, especially the Safari icon. I am hoping they change them before the final release, but given how they showed them so prominently in the video, my hopes are low. I seriously will consider jail breaking for the first time just to get better icons.

i signed out via the settings and when you open it it asks for the password. So one sign out seems to be enough.

I do not see it. I only see reading list.

I do like how you can set to private browsing within safari rather than having to go to settings.

Yes he would have said people don't need quick access to wifi and Bluetooth. Or anything on the lock screen but the time and date. That's why we didn't get useful features like that when he was around.

That's a pretty big leap but I can almost certain he wouldn't go for WHITE half sketched images either. Oh well. That's what choices are for and I guess android is starting to look more interesting as a die hard apple fan.

Are you using an iPhone 5? It might not be enabled for the 4/4S. Also, was the panorama taken on the built in camera? It might require that. Otherwise, file a bug report.

I am on an iPhone 5 and I just took a panorama of about 20 feet in my garden using the new camera app in IOS 7 and the wallpaper barely moves. I wish it looked like it does in that vine.

Don't forget 'folders' now have endless amount of pages now :) You're no longer limited to 9 apps per folder on the iphone.
And you can put Newsstand inside folders. ;)

Panoramic wallpaper does not work for me.
When you go to the Background options in Settings you have to pick the wallpaper from the Panorama album, not your camera roll.

I hate that we only get 6 skips even for paid versions. :( I don't understand the reasoning for limiting skips... But spotify does it too on the free version

Reportedly, music licensing requires the royalty to be paid as soon as the song starts playing. If you don't limit skips, someone can rack up a large number of royalty changes by skipping songs repeatedly.

The subscription fees and ad rates are set for an average of songs per hour, and an average number of hours per day. Skipping a lot of songs would increase costs significantly, if a lot of people do it.

Reset your phone? The first time I enabled wallpaper, it rebooted my phone. The 2nd time, it took a while to load, but worked okay afterwards.

Still can't believe Apple can't get the Weather app icon to show the correct forecast/temp. Seems like a no-brainer.
I think it's a no brainer to realise this is a beta. You're free to email bug reports etc.

What happens when you don't have connection? It will start showing an incorrect forecast. Better to be a generic icon than an unreliable one. Clock or calendar obviously does not have the same dependance on internet connection.
Good argument but between WiFi and LTE I've never not had an internet connection.
