Get it right first time Apple, or you want more commercials from Samsung making fun of you?

Haha, Yea my 6(-) on ATT is out. Trying restore....
Read this headline midway through the black screen with Apple and status bar...

You don't need to do a full restore to fix the issue. I did the OTA update and lost service/touch ID. I then downloaded the ISPW and did an option check for update. iTunes then installed 8.0.1 again without needing to restore my data.

Thank you for posting this! # so glad I don't have to restore everything.

Will this update automatically download and install when i plug my phone in tonight on Wifi??

If so, how do I turn off automatic download/install of system updates? Thx...

Restored via the .ipsw - Cell service and touch ID now working on 6+.

That being said, Health book no longer will open. Crashes instantly.

i dont think tim cook will be happy with all the bad press.
which is good. things might improve with ios9

Restart the phone, let it download, there will be a button under settings once the update is verified that says install now, don't hit it :)

Also, if your battery is under 50% then you're safe because it will stop the install. That saved my ass. Glad I didn't recharge my 6 Plus last night.

I think they pulled the update. iTunes says 8.0 is the latest version

So they create more bad press to quiet the bad press...if this were true, may be time to sell apple stocks...might do this anyway...

You'd rather have issues with software that can be fixed with a software update in the future, than people returning iPhones, based on bend gate going viral. Just my feeling not confirmed.

No service is unlike Apple. Bugs apps crashing etc is.

Well, I'm stuck at work where I cannot install iTunes, so I'm stuck with a bricked phone until I get home late tonight. Freaking amazing.

Hopefully this works. I have a slow connection right now.

My iPhone 5 was already getting "No SIM Card" before this update. Think I'll skip this update.
