I totally don't have access to a computer now, won't do until later today, and I use my phone for business purposes... now what?

What made you update the software if your not near a computer or home

If I was out somewhere not near a computer & my iPhone is my only communication device at the moment I would not upgrade/download any software on the phone , anything could go wrong

Awesome. Stuck in limbo because some dumbass at Apple couldn't install and test the update. Kinda hard to miss no signal and touch ID problems...

No effect on the iPhone 4 :p Seriously, what a disaster. Compared to that even the iMovie Issue was a really minor one.

Here's to hoping for a Liquidmetal iPhone 6S enclosure (supposed to be twice as strong as titanium) and a rock-solid iOS 9 release. Also: Blah blah, 2GB RAM, blah blah blah, 64-bits, blah Anandtech blah. You know the drill by now.

It's not Beta software. Why should people not update?

Waiting for the ipsw to download.....did an online support chat with apple and they had no idea what was going on. Told me to setup a genius bar appointment.

How the holy hell did this get past testing? Honestly I think even chimps could find out when your phone can't be used as... Well, a phone.

I'm not usually cynical about Apple, but this is terrible.

Just to be sure, the 10.9.5 update today is still safe to install, right? Because now I have my doubts.

Just when I finish downloading the update on my itunes, I press the update button and it tells me iOS 8.0 is the latest version.. How?

This can happen from time to time, it's just really unfortunate timing with their bugs and also some frustrating design decisions in recent past.

It's something I'm not quite used to by Apple.

Have an iPhone 6 Plus and installed 8.0.1 30 minutes ago. Have had no touch ID and No service issues. Verizon as well. I wonder what causes it.

To note, when I got my Plus, I restored my iCloud backup from the 5S. So this 8.0.1 install was over my existing iCloud data.

Get it right first time Apple, or you want more commercials from Samsung making fun of you?

Well at the moment it is definitely Apples own fault, that sooooo many companies make fun with Apple's products and software. They claim to be the best, but they make mistake on mistake on mistake at the moment.
