Downloaded but didn't install

I, like a few others, got lucky and were downloading it on my 6+ and then saw this thread. So now it sits waiting to install. Any way I can delete the damn thing? If not, when 8.0.2 comes along - hopefully anytime soon - will it allow me to download it?

:apple: you are sucking right now, folks.

Glad I saw this before updating.

Has anyone tried popping their SIM card out and back in? A long shot, but I haven't seen others say they tried it.

At&t iPhone 6 here upgraded to 8.0.1 via OTA software update and having no issues with service, touch id etc.

We might have to put down our phones, turn to the person next to us, and actually TALK to them in person! Nooooooooo!!!!!! The horror!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. No cell or Touch ID. Tried resetting network settings, rebooting, turning on/off airplane mode.

Holy Mother Of God ....
Apple has just bricked thier flagship product ....

No 4G service=No communication.
No TouchID=You can't even use it, period, because you can't access it.
It's, quite literally, bricked.

Biggest f-up in mobile computer history, FFS.
Thank God I just happened to click on this topic by accident.
My iPaf Air is staying a mile away from iOS 8.0.1

I truly & honestly feel for you guys, I swear.
What if an incident happens & someone can't connect with emergency services?
Mega class action lawsuit coming.
Thanks, Tim.

Surely you can still type in the passcode as a bypass around TouchID.

Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage -> then look for the iOS update and delete it

Great job Apple!

Scare your users even more into avoiding updates.

This iOS 8 roll out is the BIGGEST disaster in iOS history.
"Updates" like this are the best way to destroy the platform. But hey who cares, right? Most important thing is Tim Cook is a nice guy.

Maybe it takes a little more to be a good CEO.

Best quote ever.

Killed my iPhone 6+ too. Figured I would try to restore in iTunes, but it wants to put 8.0.1 on it again. Any idea how to get 8.0 to be an option?

Jesus, Apple... thank god Twitter and Facebook exploded with warnings before I upgraded. Also, fix the damn wifi issue while you're at it. We pay too much for these things to have this many issues.
