iOS 8.0.1 has just killed my cellular connectivity

It's a first world problem. Just calm down. You can still light a fire, get a blanket, and text your buddies. :)

Updated OTA, AT&T US. Hosed Cell connection and Touch ID. Downloaded the developer file for 8.0.1 from Apple Developer Site, updated thru iTunes and phone back to normal with 8.0.1. I imagine that any update thru itunes would work.

I'm on a Sprint Airave at home and showing No Service. Also no touch-ID.

The guys you quoted are saying they have service on an M-Cell but not off, and you're saying you have service off of it but not on?

Anyone on Sprint using an Airave wanna jump in?
 
Once I installed the update on my iPhone 6 I got a secure key popping up on my trusted iPad. Maybe it has something to do with the 2 step authentication?

So iPhone 6 Germany Telekom does not work. No service and no touch id

Seems like they have removed it completely - I just tried to update my iPhone 5 to 8.0.1, it downloaded the file, but it cannot "verify" the file with apple so it won't install.

In my original post I had service on a M-Cell and they were wondering If that was why I had service so I tested off the M-Cell and still had service.
 
Support couldn't help me. They escalated me to their engineering team.

Back to 8.0 I go, and an entire afternoon of lost productivity awaits me. ******* you, Apple.
 
The update has been pulled, just downloaded through iTunes and it refused to install. Then the update icon disappeared on the phone.
 
Those of you saying this is no big deal: yes, it's a big deal. Some of us are grownups and use our phones for real work.
 
Just wondering those on AT&T that don't have service what is you carrier version 17 or 17.1? Just wondering had a carrier update yesterday that said it fixed a problem with no signal.

I've tried it with both... applied the carrier settings after one of my two restore attempts. No go.
