Photos does nothing compared to iPhoto

They could have just given the option to redownload iPhoto, then only the people who really wanted it would have got it.

Or kill the stock Photos app and build iPhoto in as default! That would be great for me...

I actually forgot to register my 6 to my account before updating and it worked fine. This'll probably be released in a month so maybe they don't care too much about lockig folks out. They could use all the help they could get nowadays.

i always update to betas/finals i have stuff i need to keep, never had a problem

apps aren't working properly, instagram and tweetbot are very laggy

tweetbot couldnt work any better..& was updated today for full ios 8 support with iphone 6/+ resolution

I have the option mate.

I enabled iCloud Photo Library and I've seen where numerous people are having to turn off cellular data and switch it to wifi, well I only have cellular data access and it tells me I need wifi to finish uploading. I don't have the option to use cellular data with iCloud Photo Library on the beta. I do have cellular data enabled for photos but it tells me I need wifi to use iPL. Did they remove the ability to use cellular?

...hmm- that is really weird then how some of you have the option of 'iCloud Photo Library' on your phones, whilst others haven't (me included)??!

apple is rolling it out slowly to random users, it was said somewhere & i dont remember where that was. i had it ever since it was first added in ios 8.0 beta so possibly having ur apple id have records of logging into a beta on a device could have given priority as icloud photos is still in beta

I think that would be too much for users... I think they should rename it aperture, add features + aperture compatibility, and keep aperture on the Mac and iOS for the higher end users....

Same here. No UDID registered and it worked when I updated.

Hey people running 8.1, what are the location privacy options like?

On 8.0.2 apps only ever offer either (Never or Always) or (Never or While Using App). I believe it was a bug and that all three options were meant to be available in at least some apps (i.e. Never or While Using App or Always)

Anyone see all three options in 8.1?
