Beta 2 early indications for me so far has been incredible battery life. Guess we shall see more in the upcoming days but it's looking very promising so far.

or just do it properly & not enable siri from the lockscreen problem solved..someone that was security isnt going to half do things theyll turn off control center from lockscreen same as siri. as like every feature on a device like this theres tradeoff between security & "quick access/easy use" of features for all the lazy ****s..

Here's a really great change for 8.1 (BETA 1 and 2).

FaceTime calls initiated over WiFi will now transfer to LTE (and 3G?) just fine when you leave the house. Interestingly, the call will transfer quite smoothly (cuts out for just a second or two) when the call detects the WiFi signal dropping significantly.

If you just turn the WiFi off manually, there's a MUCH longer delay before the call is successfully transferred to LTE, so it appears Apple is switching gracefully from WiFi to LTE when it sees the signal dropping to zero (as it would do as you smoothly move out of range).

However, when you're on LTE and come back to your house, the call will NOT transfer back to WiFi, for some reason. If you hang up the call, your phone will instantly connect to the WiFi. You can, of course, manually force the phone to connect to your WiFi network. This does actually transfer the call over from LTE to WiFi (tested by disabling cellular data).

Either way, prior to 8.1, if you left your WiFi network while on a FaceTime call, the call would drop completely.

This is a welcome change! I'm updating the Wiki to reflect this.

Push email seems to be entirely broken for me. I've tried iCloud Mail and Outlook and neither of them push properly. Have to enter the mail app to get the mail download and occasionally I'll get the push notification like a minute AFTER I've already downloaded the emails manually. It's just screwed up. Going to have to do a fresh install of 8.0.2 or something. (This is an iCloud backup from a long time ago. 5s days. Could that be honestly it?)

Annoying bug where text would not automatically scroll up when 'delievered' show was fixed.

Not fixed: weird rotation animation in videos

FaceTime worked like that with beta one.

Spotlight Suggestions not working

Does anybody with iOS 8 Beta 2 can test if the Spotlight Suggestions feature works? Since I updated to the final iOS 8 version the feature stopped working. Moreover (and this happened with my iPhone 5 and a relative's iPhone 6), when you try to check/uncheck the option (under Settings>General>Spotlight Search) Settings.app crashes.

BTW: I'm located in one of the countries that supports the feature.

Does anyone knows if the 'Reset All Settings' bug has been resolved?

Thanks!

its always worked for me but once i put in a search that uses spotlight locations like "airport" so it shows me how far i am from the airport, spotlight suggestions will always use location forever until a reboot which then requires the same thing i just said above to make it to it again so i just have it force disabled in services..still doing it in 8.1 beta 2
