I wish there was a way to change all the emoji colors instead of one by one. The default yellow is waaaay too yellow

Damn what a buggy pos release. Apps crash left and right.

1. WhatsApp: keyboard (keypad) does not show up during initial number verification phase.
2. Evernote: cannot customize homescreen as toggles cannot be disabled.
3. Asee (surveillance app) crashes while entering settings.

You sound like someone who doesn't actually understand what the purpose of beta releases is...Hint, it's to identify bugs and inefficiencies. During this process, some apps may not work as the developers may not keep up with incompatibilities. Hope this helps. Maybe you should try 8.2.

^^ no need for your snooty reply dude. I am merely reporting these for everyone to know. The reason I did not update the main wiki.

I have already reported UI and keyboard bugs to Apple.

Did you clean install? I don't see ANY performance difference on iPad mini 2 with A7. It's still laggy. Stutters occasionally, exiting apps, going into spotlight, rotating, safari favourite menu scrolling, etc. They all still stutter.

I also have iPad 3 too, but didn't install beta on that yet, but kinda too lazy to install it on that cause it takes quite a long time.

So again, did you do fresh install? Or did you just do upgrade? You don't see any stutter like I mentioned above?

Thanks. :)

I mean there's the occasional stutter but not even remotley as bad as 8.1/8.2 were. I just upgraded, no fresh restore

So I'm only using the default keyboard. And messages crashed in the sense that I couldn't bring up the keyboard until I rebooted the app. Something that only happened before with third party keyboards. Bummer.

Messages has thoroughly bizarre keyboard behavior. Every single conversation seems to have a mind of its own in regards to what keyboard it will load. I've managed to get it into a state where one conversation will load the default keyboard, the one under it will load SwiftKey, and the one under that will load TouchPal. No other app behaves even remotely like this. And yes, on occasion I just get no keyboard at all in Messages.

Probably because of the region setting. Try to switch to Australia or New Zealand lol, all of the units will change

Arghh this is so annoying, 1.5 years now where I have to use miles on my iPad. It's quite an obvious bug and I can't believe its not fixed yet. Anyone running the beta in the UK please let me know if they got the same issue. Thanks

UPDATE: you are right, it is a region thing. I changed my region and language to American English and I have the same problem. I than changed my region to Germany (km is standard) and the problem is reversed where I cannot change from km to miles. Again this only happens on iPads, on my iPhone I can change the unit regardless of region settings. Gonna file another bug report.

Interesting I have not has a single crash. Granted I do not use those 3 particular apps but I have tried most of what I have (well that I use regularly) and all have worked flawlessly so far. Maybe try a reinstall of those 3 and see if it makes a difference.

Yes, someone please elaborate... My mini 2 and my friend's air stutter so much with UI in iOS 8, it's really bad considering they are only a year old. There are a lot of scenarios where the iPad 2/3 are smoother than the iPad mini 2/3 or Air. It's annoying.

Thats because on the iPad 2/3 they turned off the blurring effect and made it only translucent.

I don't know about ipad 2 but ipad 3 is a complete lagfest on ios 8.2. Its super laggy i don't even feel comfortable selling it now. Ipad mini 2 is much smoother if you compare it to ipad 3 but of course mini 2 is much laggier than when it was on ios 7.

In beta 3 it seems like they allowed each conversation to have it's own keyboard selection. I'm not entirely certain that I see a use for this and I think it would be helpful if they at least gave you the option to use the same keyboard for all conversations.

With 8.3 beta 3, I had issues with my fitbit app not finding my device. I had to reboot for it to find it again. I haven't had that issue yet with Beta 4. Has anyone else experienced this?

My Garmin app has no trouble finding my Vivosmart. I'm on the public betas and I've had no issue with either 1 or 2.

Not app specific, but hopefully helpful anyway.

Its the 3rd party apps that need updating! 8.3 beta 4 is the best iOS yet for smoothness and stability. You might want to get your info right before ranting!

I've been having this issue where different conversations end up with different keyboards since 8.0. Messages has always had a host of keyboard issues that don't show up anywhere else. They must have been doing some really weird things with the keyboard API that don't translate well when it's opened up to third-parties.

I suppose that scrolling on the Artist view from the Music app still stutters what leaves me thinking that iOS 8 will make it to the books by being the one which disrupted the seamless scrolling. Dunno if i'll be onboard to check if iOS 9 meets the Forstall era smoothness.

Using an iPhone 6 btw.

Can anyone check if they fixed these bugs? :)

The share sheet appears to be fixed in safari. Also the photos app isn't flashing for me.

Still unable to search PDFs through safari.
