Streaming Bug

I have not heard of this one, when I take a photo it stops my streaming. I have to quit the app to restart the streaming. Anyone else?

*BUG*

Adding contacts from email locks up iPhone 5s
Talking a photo during a iMessage locks up the screen and leaves it blurry.

I noticed this too. I also noticed if I tried to take a picture while plugged into the USB in my car, the car would receive an 'Error 5' and the music app will crash.

how can people use this as daily driver? last years iOS 7 beta 4 was rock solid... this seemed like beta 1 to me, the battery drain is amazingly bad

It's been my DD since b3 with no serious issues. I did have to switch between b2 and an old Android a few times. Battery life seems comparable to 7.

I need iMessage to work perfectly not "aspects". Again, I didn't ask for advice, I asked if anyone is having these reported issues.

Some more advice you didn't ask for: Just say, "is anyone having these issues?"

If you additionally complain about something in a beta not "working perfectly," you're going to get 'advice' whether you like it or not.

:)

I get the message: A problem repeatedly occurs on "http://9to5mac.com" on an iPad

Just to add, this bug is occurring on a bunch of websites. It seems to be a javascript bug, since disabling JS fixes the problem. Not sure what exactly is causing it, but I've definitely seen it on several pages. Every WebGL app that I've tried causes it as well.

The error looks like this:

Hey guys, I just installed IOS 8 beta 4 on my iPad 3, and it was first iOS 8 beta I installed on this device.

What I noticed is that when I press the home button from apps, it stutters so much that there is no animation. Not all the time, but it's even worse than iOS 7.1. I already stared a thread about this bug on iOS 7.1 on iPad 3, and others were experiencing this problem too. I thought this should had been fixed by now, but it's now even worse! I really can't believe how stubborn Apple is. I've sent bug report a while ago 2 times, and I told others to report as well, and they said they did.

Do you guys also have this stutter? How can we make Apple fix this before the final release of iOS 8? :(

That is how it goes in beta releases sometimes. One release may be smooth while the next appears worse. Apple isn't even close to finishing the OS for release. Be patient. The beta isn't for public use.

Is anyone able to confirm that they are having the home button issue from beta 2 and 3, where you single click the home button and it triggers multitasking sometimes??

Does anyone have an issue with "Hey Siri"? With the 4th beta it will not work for me. Yes, I have it plugged in. It worked in the 3rd. I have tried to turn it off and on again with no help.

I had this, and added it to the wiki front page. Appears you have to use Siri the normal way via the home button at least once, before Hey Siri will work.

Not working for me on iPad 3rd gen. Didn't try it on previous betas.
Edit:work's uses the fix above.

Seems that voice control to launch apps is broken if you transferred the app via Xcode. In beta 3 I could trigger Siri and say open sesame and an application called sesame would launch. In beta 4 I say open sesame and get a wise crack about Ali baba.

Anyone else confirm? And is it the sort of thing I can file a bug report for?

As an FYI, I am not having the issue with quick reply and the lower part of the keyboard not working correctly. All works fine on my 5s OTA updated from B3.

Anyone else found that when you add a web page to the home screen and launch it you can't touch anything on screen.

sorry but your full of crap... my iPhone has tons of tweaks, widgets themes emulators installed and my battery life is stellar in iOS 7 when compared to iOS 8. maybe you are a bit accustomed to how android handles battery life? because in no way shape of form its compared to iOS 7 at the present state. I'm sure eventually, just not now.

been trying betas since iOS 4 bud... by the way

It's stable. No major issues for me as of yet.

I can understand the necessity to get the beta, we are geeks... specially back then in iOS 7 where the main thing was the redesign. now it is a future proof release i get it... but its not worth downgrading your phones battery performance. all the enhancements for iOS 8 like app communication etc are unavailable right now, same with widgets. (theres no apps for that lol) so I don't get the benefit specially when you have a jailbreakable firmware out there.

I've been testing betas since iOS 4 and i've never seen a 20% battery loss in less than 25 minutes, even with iCloud turned off... it might be stable as in "it doesn't at least crash" but behind the scenes the phone runs hot, who knows how the processor is getting hammered or how the network usage is performing in the background...

I could be wrong, but I think this is new in this beta?

You can now dismiss individual notification center items. For example, if you have 4 tweets that show up, you can now swipe left and reveal an X on a particular notification, as oppose to simply having to clear them all.

A lot of people had problems with iOS 7 and every update since. It's a luck of the draw. There's probably a bug somewhere that they can't seem to pinpoint. My phone is perfectly fine.

Nope, that's part of the iOS 8 notification enhancements. You can do it from the lock screen too.

In the Music app, under playlists my album artwork is now gone. I believe it was in Beta 3 as well, although I don't recall. Is this a permanent thing Apple wanted or is there a way to add it back in?

The artwork is there when I select a certain playlist, but not on the list of playlists.

Forgive me if this issue was present in previous betas, but Clear.app isn't syncing over iCloud with my other devices. I think the issue existed in beta 1, but I reverted back to the latest iOS 7 after that, so I missed out on beta 2 and 3.

Also, My Photo Stream isn't appearing under Albums in Photos.app. However, the new pictures I've taken since updating to beta 4 have synced to My Photo Stream both on my iPad and Mac. I want all My Photo Stream photos, old ones too, to appear on my iPhone!
