Was laggy here too on the GM.... Apple uses the public as Guinea pigs with the first release sad but true

runs fine on my iPhone 5. No lag, slowdown, nuthin!
It's running ok for me too but I have experienced a wee bit of lag occasionally. Nothing too bad and I hope they will sort it out soon.

However I went to listen to a podcast and holy **** the lag was atrocious -_-

IPad mini:Safari laggy an crashing for me.

Page not loading fully , page seems to stick in position, bookmark tab needs to be pressed to hide it again

Iphone 5;
Telegram app, dimensions seem way off.cant see all of the page/app

It's a bit laggy when scrolling fastly through apps and pages. But the worst is when I re-open apps using a new keyboard. There's about a two second delay before the blank space is filled.

both my iphone and ipad were a bit laggy too. I turned off them and waited I while. After some minutes I turned on and now they go better

It is indeed rather laggy, and while some ppl with faster CPUs claim "its not" (which for them of course, may be true), the unoptimised code still results in a larger batter drain down the road

I updated 2x iPhone 5's, 1x iPad Mini Retina and 1x iPhone 4s.

ALL devices showed a significant speed reduction. What the **** is going on?

Even my A7 iPad Mini is lagging at most tasks. BTW, its a fresh restore as well so the update is not the problem, its iOS 8.

Its absolutely atrocious. How the heck can Apple release an update like this?

It's so laggy in many places. Pulling up multitasking and it lags a bit, stuttering.

Apps launch a bit delayed, safari actions are a bit slow (but actual web browsing is really fast)

Why did Apple release an unfinished OS?

Please sell your iPhone, buy an Android.

Just did and no lag. Haven't had any issues from iOS8.

You have to be in the featured or top charts tab. It's not huge, but you can notice it. (It was much worse before iOS 7.1)

Also activating siri isn't completely smooth on iPad Air (the animation is a bit stuttery), opening control center on lock screen isn't smooth etc.
Those things are the same for every iPad Air

----------

I did that too.

Just going to to DFU restore and try again. Seems like an iPhone 5 is smoother than my A7 retina mini. Ha.

iPhone 5 is definitely smoother than iPad Air on iOS 8.

Funny, things feel smoother on my 5s and iPad Air. Installed over the air.

i went from beta 5 to GM last night to avoid the server crush today....the GM is soooooo much smoother. its lightning fast and so smooth. 5S. Touch ID seems leaps and bounds better too.

For those with laggy devices, there's an app called System Monitor in the app store get it! Use it!

Hold tight then, it took 'em a year to make iOS7 run ok.:D

IPad Air. Ota update method. Running like a cheetah on meth. All good here.

Everything smooth on my iPhone 5. a bit laggy in the first 20/30 minutes. rebooted and everything fine since then. Awesome, couldn't be happier :)

lol system monitor:p

All the iPad Airs have the same software and same animation smoothness (And no, apps don't effect core animations, they CAN'T). You can disagree with it as much as you like, but it is a fact.
So if my iPad Air (and plenty of other people her) has a slightly stuttery blurring animation while opening Siri, yours does as well. You may not notice it, but it is there.

Same here. Smooth as silk rotating the screen with a keyboard open.

And I guess activating siri (blurring animation) is also perfectly (60 fps) smooth:rolleyes:

Also, pulling control center from the lock screen isn't choppy at all on your iPad Air?

My 5S did lag quite a bit earlier when I first downloaded it. Seems smoother now.

Haven't had a chance to try the iPad rMini yet, update is still downloading.
