I guess I'm lucky I'm a zombie sleeper. I usually sleep around 4 to 4:30am these days so I guess I'll try online on the Apple Store. It's 4am for sure right? Any chance they'll put it up 30 minutes earlier? Just worried about getting screwed, want to be in the first wave :(

The US store went online only around 5 min. before it was scheduled to.

Ah yeah I figure they never stick by their times or use a clock that's different so I guess it's the refreshing game at 3:50, lol.

hope you're all asleep waiting to go to stores that day please kthx.

I'm in Waterloo at the moment trying to figure out what to do. I'll be up at 4am to check the shipping times and probably place an order regardless, then I'll try the Futureshop at some point during the day. I'll call tomorrow...

A few friends of mine told me that the site went live almost 30 minutes earlier. Maybe it varies.

I'm in Kingston and we have a Future Shop and Best Buy right next to each other. Can't decide which one to go to...

BesBuy hands out tickets at 10AM, FutureShop doesn't. I think if you can line up early for the tickets, do it, otherwise if you can't get one, head over to FutureShop.

Not necessary. Store will be sold out even before the mall closes.

Anyway, anyone headed to Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket that wants to meet up. PM me.

I know - I just don't understand why the Apple store at West Edmonton Mall would request to stay open until midnight on Friday. It seems very odd considering the iPad 2 will likely sell out in a matter of hours.
Again, my only guess is that the Apple store knows its getting a pretty significant shipment.

the website is updated with all the prices but there is no buy button. says unavailable for your country currently.

damn, you beat me to is. lol

i'm going to try and get one tomorrow. maybe i'll luck out. otherwise i'm going to buy one online.

Funny thing is that you can actually order a Smart Cover and it is showing a delivery time of 2-3 weeks.

What cases do you guys recommend? I am looking for one that kinda looks like Apple's original iPad case where both the back and front is covered.

I see that on Apple.ca you can "add to cart" the Smart Covers...but not the Red leather one

....but if you use the "Search" in the upper right hand corner for "Smart Cover" ...it does appear....was able to place the order....ships in 2-3 weeks :)

do you guys think it's worth it to get the smart cover vs. looking for a case or maybe just getting a gel skin for protection? your thoughts is appreciated :)

The smart cover seems really nice, probably best for 'local' or around the house use. being able to prop it up for typing on a table or something looks cool. Some sort of clear skin for the back plus smart cover would be nice. I'd say for a lot of mobile use or travelling around having it in some sort of case (like the original apple one) would be good. Everyone has their own preference though.

I think I'd get a smart cover (seems like almost everyone would, just from the marketing of the damn thing lol).
