A word of warning for anyone coming to Southcenter Mall early in the day: mall security just said we couldn't sit on the ground or in chairs. Be prepared to stand all day.

I'm considering leaving for Bellevue or U-Village. Can anyone give me a line update?

If someone can ask an Apple employee about their estimated ship count, I would really appreciate it. I won't be off work until 3:30, and I am in downtown Seattle, then heading to Bellevue to either BSquare, Best Buy or Target.

My firend works at Target said 1 iPad per person.

This dude seems to be waiting in line at the Bellevue Square Apple Store. Twitter (I don't know this person anyway).

I'm guessing Target will only get in probably 5-10 units if that. They just want to be a part of the buzz and create more business. They don't care how many people actually end up with an iPad from their store, they just want more people in their store. Whether they have 1 or 1,000, people will go to their store thinking they might get one, at which point it worked.

Oh, you're out of the iPad2? Well now that I'm already here, I guess I need some deodorant, food, clothes, maybe an xbox game.

Went by U Village at around 9am and about 30-40 people already at Apple store. None at AT&T store.

40 people? That should be right in front of/pass the Microsoft Store, right?

It goes to the Microsoft store and then curves back around. I can confirm the time and count too. I was here at 10am and, with a rough count, was around 40th.

I went in and spoke with an Apple Store employee. He couldn't confirm stock count but did say that i should be good at 40th. He said I shouldn't worry. Hopefully, he's right.

Couldn't believe the line when I got here. I thought 10am would be totally good. I figured I'd be around 10th or 15th! There's already a bunch behind me too (@ 10:30am).

They're handing out water. Apple rules. Is is my first iLaunch at an Apple Store. Glad i made the drive from Canada. :)

Good luck everyone. I'll post updates throughout the day if anyone wants.

So much for my genius idea...I showed up at 11 @ Belle Square and there was at least 50 in line...now there's gotta be 100 or so.

Are they allowing chairs @ alderwood?

Belle Square Update: looks like the rush has tapered off, and held steady at about 120'ish. I asked Apple employee if there was enough stock for everyone in line and he confidently said, "oh yeah, no problem" which tells me there's gotta be a healthy supply here.
