There is a WalMart next to the tulalip casino up there by the outlets. Sounds doubtful there is much stock at those locations though. Maybe worth a try.

Thank you and thanks Tofray for the directions. I'll pass this on to my wife. also I'll check this forum tomorrow for updates - just joined today Lots of good stuff in here. BTW I was In Seattle last year - what a beautiful place!!!

Any word from Uvillage store yet?

I know they were sold out of AT&T 3G units pretty quickly. Down to some of the Verizon ones. Not sure on Wifi and white vs. black. Looks like that had 500+ at 5:00. We had over 400 at Bell Square and someone else posted here that Southcenter was about 600. Not sure about Alderwood.

So I failed at getting an iPad at southcenter. I want to try again in the morning but I'm wondering if I should go to a different apple store. Anyone have a suggestion on which would be the best bet? Also, do shipments usually come in before opening? Should I be there before it opens?

There is also a Target and Best Buy in the same Shopping complex a few miles north of the Outlet Mall in Smokey Point / Arlington.

Just so you know, I stopped by that WalMart on my way back to Canada from Bellevue Square mall, just to see what they had. They were sold out. The guy at the counter said they had 12 in total but they went fast.

Hopefully, they'll get more tomorrow.

Good luck!

I'll check out the Target in West Seattle later today. There might be some iPads left since it doesn't seem like expensive electronics sell very well at that location. If there are any left, I'll let you guys know.

At the Bellevue Square now, only 6 Verizon 64GB black units left and they won't get any stock today. Next week!

Bellevue Square out!

I just went to Bellevue Square this morning around 9:15 AM. They are completely out of iPads. They have no idea when they will get more and the shipments are expected to be smaller than the original. They are suggesting to purchase online instead.

I was at the U village around 10am. They'll get only black 16gb wifi sometime today. Sometime today!!! I just got an apple tv from there. No lines yet at that time but around 30~40 people waiting. Anyway, my online order is preparing for shipment.:D:D:D Good Luck

Uvillage 16gb black only

Was at UVillage at 10:45. Only the 16Gb WiFi Black model available. One person in line ahead of me. Not clear how many where on hand.

waiting til monday or ordering online?

I'm wondering whether I should try the U Village Store on Monday or order on line. On line orders say they ship in 2 - 3 weeks. Is this really how long it will take? What are the chances of them having stock at U Village on Monday? Thoughts?
Thanks.

So I went to Southcenter this morning at opening. There was a line of at least 40 people. I believe they were saying they only had 16GB Black Wifi. They went through asking people what thye were buying. They cut the line off after about 20 people maybe, and said they had no more stock. I called Tacoma immediately after, and was on hold for quite awhile. I was about 10 min from tacoma by the time they answered. They said they had no iPad 2 in stock and no new shipments. I decided to go in and see if there were people waiting or anything. There was no line up and I asked again just for fun (this was literally 10 min or less after asking on the phone). Miraculously they call in back and have 16gb Wifi in black. So I bought my iPad and left. Don't trust what they say on the phone. It sounded scripted and I really doubt the shipment came in during the 10 min between my call and getting there.

I showed up at U-Village about 3:30 yesterday and guess I was maybe #200 in line. By 5:40 I was done and going home with my 64 gig black/At&T 3G. Before I went inside the store they were selling out of some 32 gig models. It was worth the wait because this gadget is very impressive. VERY impressive!

They'll get far more in stock at the stores before one would ship online. They want the foot traffic in the stores.

There was well over 300 in line at alderwood. My bf and I were 123 and 124. I got the last white 16gb 3G AT&T model and he got a 32gb black wifi. By then, the only white models left were the 64gb wifi ones. All the frickin Canadians took the white ones that everyone wanted.

Uvillage update or Southcenter on Monday 3/14?

Has anyone tried either of these stores and if so, how long was the wait and what is in stock?

called up Target in Issaquah about an hour ago and they had 2 32GB black wifi only in stock. Raced down there SO fast! Luckily they still had 1 in stock when I got there, but the other one was gone. Guess my wife and I have to share for a while :p

The best buy in issaquah also said they were supposed to get some stock in today and there were no lines, but last I called they said they think they might not get it in today because it was supposed to show up at 1pm and still hasn't.

idk, sounds to me like there's no reason to get gouged online... even though I'm sure they'll get more stock, you'd probably have to be lucky as hell to beat the tons of other people checking in places like the Bellevue apple store, but if you try the places further out I'm sure you can get lucky :)

Target Lynnwood had about 8 white in stock about 20 minutes ago. I bought their last two black ones (32gb wifi and 64gb 3G)

University Village this morning

The University Village Apple Store did, indeed, open early today. I guess they wanted an advance start on disappointing people. They had nothing in stock as of 8:30 a.m., and I have to say I feel for those employees. They're taking a lot of grief for something beyond their control.

Meanwhile, I pre-ordered at 1:03 a.m. on the evening of the 10th/morning of the 11th, and my status is still stuck on "not yet shipped."

iPad 2

I ordered mine from the Apple Store at about 2:30 AM (PST) on March 11th and I just got a call from home that it just arrived. That's pretty quick from China/HongKong/Anchorage/Oakland/Seattle/Bothell!!
