iPad 2 UK Thread

This has probably been asked a million times but I can't find the answer anywhere.

Does anyone know what the deal is with other online retailers? Are Amazon putting them online at 1am or 5? Same with Argos/Tesco etc.

I think it'll be in-store only for a while, like it was with the iPhone 4 launch. Just until supply catches up with demand.

I got an email from vodafone saying you will be able to order the iPad online from 6am. Anyone else get this e-mail?

I think Comet have theirs ready to go they had some on the website the other day listed at £9,999.99, all have been taken off now but they obviously were getting it set up. http://www.comet.co.uk/c/iPad/iPad/2439
 
So is there any chance that Apple have some stock allocated to the online store for launch. I'd be pretty miffed if come 1AM the shipping estimate would be 2-3 weeks. Pretty bad for a product launch.

I will no longer be going to the launch of the iPad 2. Something has happened and I cannot go anymore.

I was going to be the person at the Trafford Centre who was updating the ipd2queue blog but sadly I cannot now.

I am on such a downer now, I've been sooooo excited about tomorrow and then on the evening of the day before, it all goes feckin t1ts up!!!

Yeah above waitrose, I know they have an electrics dept

ok maybe not most, but there's a higher concentration of tech savy bankers and IT professionals than in most places!

Could someone tell me if HMV London will have any tomorrow? because i called the customer service helpline 3 times this afternoon and every time i got an answer saying they wont be getting any ipad 2 tomorrow because something has been delayed...:confused:
