Every time I say I'll hold off for one year and get the next model, beit the iPad or iPhone, and I always capitulate.

same here, nothing wrong with my original ipad but............i NEED the new one, just because i do.....Nothing wrong with my iphone 4 but...........damn you apple i will get the iphone 5, i mean i just got the new macbook pro, dont need one..........thank god for credit cards! 😀
i just sold my iPad 1... and now I;m pad-less for 2 weeks till it comes out...

i've been ipadless for a week now and it bloody sucks i can tell you
have to go and sit in front of the pc, or use my tiny phone whenever i want to do anything now! can't read this months GamesTM or Edge either.

Really? I queued for hours at the Bullring store. Purchasing process was fairly quick when I finally got in there but the queues were large.

I told myself I wasn't going to get the iPad 2, but once again Apple are tempting me 🙁 Arghhh!
I'm ringing Apple tommorow as my iPad wi-fi has stopped working properly 🙁
Hopefully they will replace it, but then I've got to decide, do I sell it now, or get one when I go to the states in July 😱

You must live near my general area then, as all three are between 40-50 minutes away from me.
I went to Bluewater for the iPhone 4 launch, I had a reservation but it still took *forever* to get one even though I was around 25th in the queue thanks to the staff not having the capacity to split SIM-Free and Contract customers apart, so whilst I was in and out in no time at all, they would take people in 5 at a time for about half an hour -.-. Free food and drink provided. Keep in mind this is a shopping centre store so supplies won't be as much.
Covent Garden is more out-of-the-way than Regent Street, it will probably be quieter and have give or take the same amount of iPad's as Regent Street. Nice environment because there's some cover under the store and it's tucked away from the main streets, queue was organised for the iPhone 4 (approx 1 month after release lol).
Regent Street is busy even at the quietest time of day. Probably going to be the focal point in the UK much like Fifth Avenue in America. Press buzzing, expect long queues all down the road with commuters bashing in to you everywhere you go.
I'm not getting an iPad 2 for launch unless a magical fairy replace my parent's brain and gives me a nice £350. If that happened, I'd be going to Bluewater.
If you're free all day, Covent Garden. It's a nice place. The store is great.
i'm seriously hoping apple take pre-orders online so they can be delivered on the friday ... hope they'll announce something this week...

I think I've ruled out Regent St, too busier and not the best location for me or to queue.
I'm stuck between Covent Garden (got to admit its a great store and atmosphere around there) and Bluewater (where I also had queued at for the iPhone 4 release and it did seem a bit hectic).
I'm thinking about the stock to queue ratio but hey hopefully we can preorder instead!
I think the new ipads will be available from pcworld/currys etc. I'm looking to queue up at my local best buy. Queueing at any apple store will be madness!
Hoping for pre orders though. Really cant be bothered with queueing 🙂

LOL Doesn't this remind you of last year? Waiting day after day for news only to be told they were delayed! Praying that doesn't happen this year.

LOL Probably! Although I pre-ordered the iPhone 4 and I still queued... had this dread that they would just give my pre-order away and I'd spend the next 2 months trying to track one down.
