I just rang Apple to ask about my order and I know this aint much but he said your iPad will get to you by 26th, no later and can be sooner! Hopefully we see some estimate time change throughout the day!

I'm sat here looking at the letter box, just hoping that my replacement credit card is about to come through.

Just phoned PC world, and the lady there told me that they will be getting 3 or 4 of each model.

THE UNIVERSE IS CONSPIRING AGAINST MY GADGET PURCHASE!

Smart case RED yesterday and iPad 32 Black WIFI at 12.29

Well I guess yesterday they sold out very quickly of the RED cases they had here, as mine still states:
Not yet shipped
Ships: 14 Apr, 2011
Delivers: 18 Apr, 2011

iPad as a lot of folk
Not yet shipped
Ships: 15 Apr, 2011
Delivers: 25 Apr, 2011

I did the order for the case using 1 click ordering, but used the normal method for iPad luckily got it through at 12.29. Not sure if that 1 click does add 90 mins on and misses your spot i.e. time of order.... Guess only apple knows - anyone?

Fingers crossed it isn't 3 weeks for dispatch!! *optimistic perhaps stupidly so...*

At least its ordered I will get it in next month, still fun to see the madness today and over the next few weeks, sold my old iPad so now just have to wait.. iPadless

Why is the cynical part of me jumping up and down going "26th of what month?" :D

Eh, let's face it folks, those of us that have orders in just have to wait and see what happens. Don't know about anyone else but providing it gets here before the 27th of April (my estimated delivery date) I'll be happy enough with that. Earlier would be nicer of course but I ain't that desperate ;)

By 26th I mean 26 April, but I just think Apple has put these dates to save their own asses, so hopefully like the Smartcovers, we could see them come early! *falls asleep*

Its amazing to me that many people here don't realise how hyped this product is... and therefor are not already in the queue.

I have to work today so queueing was not an option, so i ordered at 1231am!

Looking at the reports of HUGE queues a whole week after the US launch it really surprises me that people think they can go start queueing at around 1 or 2pm!!!!

When i queued for the iPhone 4 on launch day this same blindness amazed me when people came to queue at 9am....!!! I had been there for 4 hours by that point and was still number 15 in the queue!

Good luck to everyone in getting an iPad today, i am not desperate so can wait for my online order to be fulfilled, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Currently number 7 (of about 20) in metrocentre queue, manager has said that they will be giving tickets out later on and free Starbucks..... He said that when they open at 5 there will be 70 staff working and each member of staff will take 1 person from the queue and take them round the store for what they want :)

It's weird, the local PC world near me said I should get one if I was in line by 3.

Just walked past the Bullring store. Loads of Asian/Chinese queuing.

Fans or scalpers? You decide.

Yeah, but everybody on line that morning got an iPhone. They just didn't stand around as long as you did.

I'm really glad to hear they are going to be doing a ticket system at Apple stores. I do not want to queue until 9pm starting at 3.30pm if there aren't going to be enough of what I want. I assume they'll start dishing out tickets at 5pm from the front of the queue, which should mean hopefully everyone in the queue will know if they're going to get an ipad 2 by 6pm.

I will be queueing at Covent Garden from 4pm.

They either have a huge stock expected or are deluded!

I wouldn't trust a PC World member of staff anyway, they are all sales driven idiots... I once posted about overhearing one trying to sell an appletv by telling the customer that you can watch terrestrial tv through it and record on to it!

Question is not what number you are in the queue, its whether you got one at all.

if people show up at 7pm tonight and pick one off the shelves, fair play to them.

Just a quick heads up for Mancs.

The PC World, pin mill, Manchester city centre (which was my secret backup plan) just said they will not have any for two weeks.

Is there a list of non-Apple stores that will be selling, i need a backup to my backup :)

I Ordered with 1 click at exactly 12.30
it showed in order status earlier this morning
but still no email
Good job I am not worried about it though (he lied)

I am in the same boat my order went through at 1.10
Got web order no with 1 click No email this morning.

Should we be worried

Agreed... I am simply stating my amazement at the slight naivety of some people, based on existing evidence from the US launch.

Every iPhone and the original iPad launch has been hugely anticipated and always follows hundreds of posts from people disappointed because they didn't queue early enough.

I dont think any of the other launches that i talk about had as long lines after a week as the iPad 2 did in the US last week...

When i queued for the iPhone 4 on launch day this same blindness amazed me when people came to queue at 9am....!!! I had been there for 4 hours by that point and was still number 15 in the queue!

But what I want to know is how many who were queuing for the iPhone 4 on launch day walked away empty handed - I haven't heard too many stories of this.

For iPhone 4 with the Belfast store (only Apple store in Ireland) I arrived around 10am and queued for 4 hours. In fact they still had stock the next morning when I went back to buy a case- albeit with people queuing once again.

Queuing early definitely gives you peace of mind but I'll be interested to hear tonight how many people joined the queues mid-afternoon and were turned away for lack of stock - I'm not saying it won't happen but I want to be a bit more knowledgeable for the next launch.
An obviously every store is different in terms of supply and demand - but would be good to get a general idea of how people have missed out.

Still surprised it give 2-3 weeks for dispatch for the online store. With the amount that must have been ordered by now, I thought it would of changed.

Is it wrong to think this? Maybe

Why do I perhaps want/need this? Cos I stayed up late! *yawn* :p
