iPad 2 UK Thread

Was working, so my fab mum went to Comet for me- no white 3g models, so decided on a 32gb 3G black. When they got them out of the stock room at 5pm, all the models were Wi-fi only. :mad:

Nice assistant in Comet v apologetic and offered to order one into store for Tuesday. :)

Went to cribbs at 2:30, saw the queue for the apple store, checked in John Lewis and was 6th in the queue and got it at 5

I'm thinking of doing the same, ordered from apple this morning but cba with the three week wait, so I'll order of Currys/pc world and hopefully they will deliver alot quicker than apple, I'm just also wondering when to cancel my apple one! Decisions decisions

Right, I ordered at 5:20 but havent got an e-mail saying about despatch. Going to let my 2-3 week apple order chill for awhile until Curry/PCWorld despatch and have tracking number etc.
 
Does anyone know how long the shipping estimates are for a PC World/Curry's iPad?

I have a 16GB black wifi only + red cover on order from Apple, but the 2-3 weeks international shipping is a bit frustrating if it can be ordered sooner from a UK warehouse somewhere.

All retailers have UK stock in a warehouse.

Have done the same ordered 16gb white plus I have had confirmation
from Currys DELIVERY 3 days :)

Cancelled Apple order 16gb have kept red leather smart cover

Never did get email confirmation from apple but received cancelled notification from them 2mins later
 
Home at last!

Just got back from Apple Milton Keynes.
Mammoth wait in line, but soooo worth it!
Apple staff were superb today, great hospitality, sensible ticketing system, and generally good fun.

After seeing the fiasco that is online ordering shipping times, I'm glad I made the effort to go and queue for hours - i'm now in possession of a white 32gb wifi+3g and blue plastic smart cover 

Just bought two iPads. Both have backlight bleeding..

Feeling quite disappointed right now.
 
Loving my iPad 2 White 16gb :D its AMAZING queued for 3 and a half hours to get it, plus the grey cover is amazing too!!! Couldn't be happier, seems much lighter
 
Crikey, that was an intense day. My a**e is so after sitting on that damn floor for 6 1/2 hours thougth.

Taking some time to have a lovely cup a tea before i open the goodies.:D
 
Just got back after queuing since 11:30 at kpmg, got my 2 models I wanted. They only had the grey covers, so went to Best Buy. They didn't have the cover I wanted either and had sold out of iPad 2's.
Went to PC World and they had a better range, but not the one I wanted either. They also STILL had stock of iPad 2's, so picked another up for my pal.
Madness.
Queuing and I didn't have to lol.

This iPad is awesome, and I went with White. Noticeably faster during general usage. Can't notice any screen leaking??

For the people who haven't got one yet, it's worth the wait :D
 
I feel kind of guilty... Turned up at the Brighton Apple store at 17:30 to see hundreds in the queue. Met my mate in Cafe Alba, who has been in the queue since 10am, and collected my iPad he got for me (as well as his).

At home with it now, and with a red leather case, love it :D

Walked out with iPad at 6PM. No walk-ins allowed
 
Got one ordered last night.

Dropped into Comet in MK at 4.55pm, walked out at 5.20 with a 16Gb White Wifi which was just what I wanted. Also picked up a blue case too.

Happy bunny, No queue, no drama.
:)
 
Just called my local Comet in Catford, London. All soldout and also said they'd just got a memo from HQ saying the whole company stock is practically gone!

I have some bleeding at the bottom - not really sure what I will do but what the hell I have a year to return it
