Talk about a nightmare. I managed to get an order in for an ipad 2 from john lewis. I'v been waiting for an email saying its been dispatched, but the status hasnt changed from processing.

I decided to ring up my credit card company to see if they had blocked my card again... and as usual they did. :mad:

So I got them to sort my card out, but obviously all the ipad 2s are sold out, so I couldnt just re-order. So I rang up john lewis, and apparently they had already tried putting my card through 4 times. And apparently if it fails 5 times, then I'm f***ed. =/

So they are going to try my card for the last time, sometime from an hour onwards, so hopefully my card will work after being unblocked...

I'v got everything crossed, hoping it goes through lol. Apparently my credit card company also stopped my order with apple, so I havent even got that to fall back on. :(
 
Tesco rocks... and normally I only shop at Waitrose

Just ordered my 32GB 3G to be delivered Monday.
Struggling to cancel the two orders I placed on Apple site at 01.20 this morningduring the one click/ Opps! chaos,but can't seem to access the site.
I can never remeber the Apple site being so glitchy.
 
Great tip about using US site. Worked a dream for cancelling, just a shame it isn't that easy to buy stuff from that site when they get it first!

At home with it now, and with a red leather case, love it :D

Regent Street apple store

In the line with tickets for 2 64gb wifis! Very long line, reckon I won't see mine till at least 10pm
 
Was in the queue at the Metro Centre from around 10:30 or so, about 25th in line, got my 64Gb Black Wi Fi, 16Gb black Wi Fi, a smart cover in black leather and the digital AV adaptor, very happy, some really nice people in the queue too.

It really took of at about 2:30 onwards, think there must have been at least 200 queuing when I left.

Still not had the confirmation from apple online about the order from last night, can't log in to see if its live or been dropped either as the site is just not working.

The 5% isn't instant, once your order has gone through Tesco will inform Quidco who will then credit your cashback to your account.

as long as you ordered via the link on the quidco site then it will be ok. Mines still not shown up on quidoco but it says with tesco can take 6 hrs after purchase.

i just double checked my creditcard too as my tesco order is at

The card comp said they've only made a pre-authorisation and not put the purchase through yet!

wont rest east till I see my order confirmed with Tesco.. maybe I shouldnt have cancelled my apple order so quick! :confused:

The £10 voucher applies instantly. The cashback will take maybe 3 weeks and will go into your quidco account then back to you.

Quidco is ace, ive had £490 odd back in cash back so far in all over 5 years, mainly from ebay buying.

Ordered mine and my brothers from Tesco, delivery for Monday :)

Few problems, but that was due to me not reading right...

Brother also had to get a black instead of white, but ohwell, its coming :)

Tescos are brilliant! After spending 2-3 hours online at apple last night (and missing out on most of my sleep), and not even receiving a confirmation email from apple AND when i do manage to log onto the apple site it tells me i'm not gonna get my iPad 2 until the 25th April, i took someone's advice and ordered one from Tesco direct. Just had my confirmation email from them that i've got one and it'll be delivered to my local store on monday... Wow. Good old Tesco!

What amazes me is that Apple seem incapable of providing that kind of service at the moment :(

I think i might keep the apple order open until monday though, just in case LOL
 
Ordered one at 12.30am this morning, 3-4 week waiting time, eh, great.

Sent my dad (good man) to the local Comet at 5pm, on the off chance that they had any. No one else there. Left 2 minutes later with my black 16gb Wifi iPad 2. So happy!

Anyone heard anything about likely stock levels tomorrow?

I just couldn't make it in time for a 64GB at Brighton, and no luck at the poxy Comet/Currys near where I work.

Still, got my 3DS to keep me gadget-happy. :)
