How long doe sit take for apple to refund or release the money back if I decided to cancel my order?
Still no change to apple timescales I could go and get one tomorrow but apple has my cash

Ordered online at 1231 this morning and got the usual 25 Apr estimate. Nipped in to local Comet at 1715 on the off chance but no luck. So tried Comet online when I got home and now have a confirmed delivery Monday am for 32GB White WIFI.
Managed to cancel Apple order via US site as UK order status is still broken.
Immensely unimpressed with Apple online ordering process.

I just couldn't make it in time for a 64GB at Brighton, and no luck at the poxy Comet/Currys near where I work.
Still, got my 3DS to keep me gadget-happy.
Similar story here, had to work till 5.30 and then everywhere i tried was sold out.
Got Ghost Recon and Pro Evo on the 3DS tho. GR is great, not impressed with PES tho, its a port of the PSP version which i dont really like. Not many other games i wanted unfortunately.

It takes 5-7 days (it says on the email confirmation when you cancel)
got my quidco update and they're tracking a £28.04 cash back. so plus £10 off voucher a tidy saving indeed!
apples are always better in Tesco

Tescos are brilliant! After spending 2-3 hours online at apple last night (and missing out on most of my sleep), and not even receiving a confirmation email from apple AND when i do manage to log onto the apple site it tells me i'm not gonna get my iPad 2 until the 25th April, i took someone's advice and ordered one from Tesco direct. Just had my confirmation email from them that i've got one and it'll be delivered to my local store on monday... Wow. Good old Tesco!
What amazes me is that Apple seem incapable of providing that kind of service at the moment
I think i might keep the apple order open until monday though, just in case LOL
Yep, I just ordered from Tesco for collection on Monday from my local store after 4PM. Plus, I get me clubcard points too! I am slightly skeptical though. It all seemed far too easy. Just waiting for the, sorry about that email
Got Pilotwings as a warmup game; even if there's no luck on the iPad tomorrow, I'll do some old game trade-ins for Lego Star Wars 3DS. Mmmmm goody.
Digging the 3D and augmented reality stuff. The sweet spot is pretty tight though and you need to avoid doing that thing of subconsciously twisting your body or tilting your head when flying in Pilotwings.
Back to iPad, I did get a chance to get my hands on one, which was kind of good enough since I had a gadget already. White is indeed nice and I might take one if they don't have black. Really does feel less chunky than iPad 1.
Struggling over whether I need 3G or not... got MiFi already... want the convenience but will miss the chance to use MiFi with other devices (I'd be cutting down my Three prepaid sim)... don't really like the black 3G antenna bar, especially against the white iPad... heard that the 3G mic is poorer... but want GPS... it's a extra £100... but all the new iPads are cheaper this year... and finally, the plastic seems vulnerable to my chewing-obsessed pet rabbit! Decisions, decisions.
Why have Apple got such a long delivery time when nowhere else has? How is that fair? It's like screw the online customers they don't matter.
Apple online have the whole of europe to ship too, Comet, Tesco and the rest have ordered in a set stock which they're selling now, I dont know what availability iwll be like once they all start selling out
Popped into small local Argos about 1pm reserved their only two 32gb WiFi took 5mins - picked them up at 5pm took another 5mins - they get dribs and drabs orders most days

Thanks for the info, I just cancelled my apple order and ordered from Tesco. Picking it up on Monday result. I didn't think I'd get one at all this weekend. Only downside is you can't collect till after 4pm but thats cool lol

same mate, that was and will be the last time that i order from apple on release day of products, service was very poor, ive just ordered from currys online and estimate delivery of 3 to 5 days, alot alot better than 2-3 weeks!.
Sounds like most stock has gone to the resellers and they are storing them in the warehouse.
i just wish i hadnt gone thru all that hasle this morning with apple, looking forward to getting it from currys now (where i work anyway)

Noticed someone mention about the Tesco direct - cheaper with the discounts AND get it on Monday! Plus I have clubcard vouchers. Click, tap, ordered!
Seems to good to be true... but I collect it after I finish work. Will have to order my Red Cover separate. Now shall I cancel my Apple Store Order, or wait/eBay.. that is the question!

Just got home to discover my ipad2 has a small scratch on the back. Unsure if I should return it or not.
