Has anything been said about the online orders taken in the early hours of this morning yet?

I guess the next question is, does anyone know what stocks are like in the Glasgow store?

Lads I got this screen - if I select the iPhone option will I get all the apps from my iPhone synced to my iPad 2 ?

Well this earlier :)

glasgow apple store has quitea few left of all types ,was just in there now buying a 32g wifi white. there open till 10 no queue at all. prob have some left tommorow as well.

Funny thing happened to me today when I didn't buy an iPad2.

Comet promised me they had reserved me a 64GB/3G/black, and I worried a little it was too good to be true (see earlier post). It was! When I arrived at 4:45 they confidently went to the computer and confirmed that in fact they had reserved it twice and it was my hard cheese. I whined quite a lot.

I then rushed to PC World and found an 80-strong queue, and after 45 mins all the 3G's had gone.

But in the meantime I had a play with the iPad2's on display. I've not had an iPad before, but am confirmed iPhone4 lover. I wasn't that impressed! I know all you who've just bought them are going to curse me, but I'm not entirely sure I want one now. It was heavier than I thought and the display.. well grainy. I know they can't put a retina display in them (this time round), but I'm questioning if I want to spend all that money.

I have a 64GB/black/3G on order from Apple - ordered spot on 12:30am this morning (successfully not via 1-click, I guess I was lucky) so presumably I'll get one reasonably soon. So what are Apple's returns like? Unlike PC World and the like, can I open it when I get it, load it up, play with it lots, and then return it within 14 days if I don't take to it?

got myself two ipad 2s!!!! 64gd 3g!!! and i didn't even have to wait in the queue! was walking around stratford (east london) after lunch and went into every electronic store in the area, and of all places phones 4 u had four in stock, they said to me at about 2pm that they had no information if they were allowed to sell them at 5pm from head office and told me it was most likely tomorrow that they would go on sale. so i ended up going to curry/pc world in mile end; huge store and they only had 9 in stock and no 64gb models. went back to phones 4 U got there at 5pm, and while i was away they got an e-mail from head office allowing them to sell them off contract! so got myself 2! they had no idea about the ipad and called to see if they were sim locked. and also managed to get a date with the cute sales assistant! no t a bad day overall! except i'm stuck at my parents restaurant, so haven't even opened them yet

If mine is anything to go by - no change.

Same here spoke to apple tonight about cancelling it (ie how long for return of funds).

the guy reckoned it would not be as long as the estimated shipping date.

We know orders in the states are delivering earlier, so I have decided just to wait for apple. Another few weeks won't hurt (kidding self me thinx a bit).

But it will arrive, sometime, some day, within a month :p

It will import your settings not the apps from your iPhone into the iPad. The apps themselves should be in iTunes and will still sync if you choose Set up as new iPad. For the sake of clarity once you have purchased an app you don't have to purchase it again for another device using the same account.

Well got my White 3G 32gb iPad 2 at 5 at the Newcastle 3 store.
Previously had the iPad 1 with a 3 sim on £7.50 a month but this deal works great for me and I also got the £30 discount so cost £249
All went really easy, well done 3, I did order last night with Apple but cancelled this just after 5 today
I was not going to upgrade but very pleased I did, this thing is amazing compared to the first gen!!

Queued for 6 hours at meadowhall, was well spirited though and got my White 32gb 3G

Think there were around 400 in the line towards the end.

Well after 2 tries to order and my order processed turns out the fraud dept didn't unblock my card properly so both sales were returned and cancelled.

Tesco are now out of stock of the 64gb 3G White.

I called them and they told me that they were told there were not meant to sell the iPad 2 online at all- just over the phone!

Very odd. Amyway I bet I can't get one now before the 10 quid voucher and
Quidco deal end.

Bugger to Barclays!

I've joined the Tesco gang, ordered it from Tesco Direct and cancelled my Apple order. Picking it up on Monday. Saving money along the way. This seems too good to be true.

Don't think I'll bother buying from Apple online for future launches.

Dammit! I was under the impression Comet Mk wouldn't have any in stock.

They had about 20 I think.

I just got lucky and reserved one at the customer service desk at 4.55pm. At that point they only had 2 x 16gb unreserved, one black and one white. Once that was done I joined the small group of people who were then sold whatever they had reserved.

The black one was still available when I left!

arghhh my order at tesco is still in

Order processing - awaiting payment confirmation since 7.30!

tesco say the cant see what th ehold up is, card company saying they not had anything but the pre auth made.. now their customer services is closed

I bet by tomorrow it will have been cancelled and now they are out of stock :(

I shouldn't have cancelled my apple order so quickly

Went down to Regent Street at 7pm. Just insane. Hundreds of people still in the queue, but fortunately plenty of stock left. Took about 90 minutes overall.
