Same situation here, sold mine on eBay on Thursday and miss it quite a bit already for quick notes and email checking etc.
As for Argos selling them, hopefully their stock checking system makes it a lot easier for people trying to find stock.
With the way things are looking with demand in the states I doubt they will do a pre-order here, it will prob be online sales start on the 25th and we will have to fight the bit out for supplies in the shops here!
hmmm...if they're selling them instore at Argos on release day I'd rather go to a remote out of town store than queue with the mentalists at my local Apple store!
Might be a good idea but knowing our luck they will only sell them at a few larger stores!

Do you think that it will be necessary to be at the Apple Store by 5? My shift ends at 5 and my closest store is about an hour and a half away.

Options for me if no pre-order are Apple Store (Bullring), Best Buy, Currys, PC World.

Often doesn't happen that way with Apple though. They've said before that the price is the same on a product and then when the UK price is revealed it's either gone up or down.
All depends on how the business exchange rates have been doing since the last time they set prices.
there was a rumour the 16gb wifi would be £419 (tenner cheaper than last years model)... but who knows..
i forgot about KRCS... i didnt think they were up to date on products... so never used them, even though we've got one one in town..
seems there's plenty of options, but it all depends on what the stock levels are like.
i hope apple update their site tomorrow (tuesday.. yay)... with information

Just a heads up that there's a Nintendo 3DS tour in Covent Garden on the 3DS launch-day (that happens to coincide with the UK iPad launch) so that could swing both ways (people lining up to try / buy a 3DS might not have time, or might get an iPad 2 since they're there anyway). xD
