Has anyone received a tracking number from currys yet?
I'm very confused because I rang yesterday to be told it was with there courier ready for send off, I've rang up today to be told they have no stock! What's going on?!

I was told the same, I don't think anyone really knows.
Tempted to cancel order and order elsewhere.

Phoned John Lewis and they are adamant sold out. Also Tesco but could not say about store stock for the big Tesco's later this week (different warehouse). Macwarehouse now mostly sold out, probably thanks to this forum and no 3Gs.
What a carry on. Time to calm down and wait I suppose. In London in 2w, what's the chance of the big stores having stock then?? Will now probably make an online order as a backstop.

Did you have to contact currys for them to ring you?
After contacting them they've told me i should receive a phonecall from their admin... bit frustrated 😡!

Roughly the same for me.. Sod it then, I'll just wait it out. Deep breaths and a bit of patience.

I sent a message this morning to there customer service department
and they phoned me back to confirm order was all ok
Have you tried HMV? Just ordered a 16G wifi - supposidly in stock from them. Watching order status closely as I only want to cancel apple order when I know it's coming.

Currys orders
I've ordered other things with Currys .. they have never sent out any 'tracking' email even though they said they would! lol .. so at least this time I'm not really 'stressed' about it. Have also been told over the phone that in three days my iPad will be with me 🙂

I'm hoping that my PCworld order is being packed today and then sent out so hopefully will get it Tomorrow or Wed
Johnlewis has "more than 10" 32gb white wifi and 5 black 16gb wifi according to the website.
Rang up again although this time the guy on the phone (who sounded as though he had heard my story around a thousand times this morning) got in touch with the postal department and I have been allocated stock 🙂.

I ordered my ipad 2 from John Lewis (also ordered 1 from apple), my stupid credit card got blocked both times. -_- But I rang up John Lewis, after unblocking my credit card, and they were really nice. They tried putting the payment through again, and it was still blocked, but they kept my order so it could be tried again the day after.
I rang them the next day to see if they could get the order through this time. They still couldn't (stupid Capital One obviously didnt unblock my credit card properly 😡), so they asked if I had another credit card. I didn't, but mum said I could use hers, they said that was fine, just needed her on the phone for a sec to make sure it was ok.
That payment finally went through. And because I had paid for saturday delivery and it couldnt be sent until monday, they also refunded my delivery charge 😀
Bad news is that it was actually dispatched today instead of delivered today, but I'v got a tracking number etc and it'll turn up tomorrow, between 7am and 11am.
So all in all, I'm well chuffed 😀 (cancelled the stupid apple order, I wern't going to wait until the 27th of april for it lol).
Im annoyed with PC World.Placed my order on Friday when stock was showing,only received the acknowledgment e-mail,stock was still showing on Saturday and then again on Sunday but PC World did not actually take my money until this am,but there is currently no stock so the processing e-mail says Forward order - no delivery date confirmed whereas the acknowledgement e-mail says delivery within 3 days
Any idea when PC World will have more stock? I still have an order with Apple so I will need to cancel either the Apple or the PC World order

Good news on the stock front for people who ordered online with Currys/pc world, I work at a branch of pc world that doesn't stock the iPad 2 and the only way we could get them is thru a business sale, and today we have received 2 of them business sales into store and im pretty sure they come from the same place as the online orders.
So just hang on people, will be with us soon hopefully 🙂
Ordered from Macwarehouse this morning. Order indicates that it will ship today but phoned up and asked them to confirm this so I could take tomorrow off.
Was told that they have taken significant orders over the weekend and stock is currently being allocated. When I told him I ordered this morning he said they would expect to get more stock in this week🙁
Hopefully a shipping confirmation email turns up this afternoon but it looks doubtful.
