I got the feeling I was a real pain in the neck about it. Not sure if it helped that I sent the link to this debate and the anger that some people felt towards Currys at the time to the CS but it was shortly after I mentioned how annoyed people were and how Currys were getting bad mouthed on here that I soon got confirmation and things through.
I would just keep bugging them through their contact us section and then on the phone as well till they give in and bump you up the queue. Sorry but I suspect thats what they may have done with me if you ordered before me.
Unfortunately it also probably makes a difference who you speak to. Spoke to 3 people in CS today (including a so called "manager") who said there was "no problem" with my order but couldn't update me with a tracking order but would have one within 24 hours. To be honest they don't care about customers' views and when I mentioned this forum and the negative comments he (the "manager") said it was just "opinion" and not fact and so they don't take any notice of it. So CS have made me even more annoyed now... would I ever use Currys/PCW again... not if I can help it!
They're charging £15 more than everone else plus £6 delivery for a 64GB wi-fi + 3G.
That is the chance you take with third party retailers. Apple may take a bit longer to deliver but you know the customer service is top-notch. That's the sort of thing that has helped them become the top tech company in the world.

Yes well the total for my White 16gb wifi only cost £411, not the usual 399 but I don't mind paying the extra £12 on top, coz I will be getting it friday at the latest, would rather that then have to wait a few weeks or not know when at all

Well, he didn't call me back, so I called, and was told my order had been cancelled.

Just phoned Macwarehouse again, what a bunch of jokers. They said they had a fault on their system and it listed more iPad 2's then they actually had. They gave me the option of either waiting till 14 April when they get more in or giving me a refund. I chose the refund.
As Macwarehouse are part of DSG (PC World, Currys etc) I'm really not too surprised. Also in the news today says their profits are way down, so they're probably just trying to get more money by any means.
I'm sticking with my Apple order.

Thats funny.. told me they are expecting a delivery Friday, but couldn't say what would be the quantities

The 64gb 3g black I ordered from Currys on Friday has finally arrived with my elderly neighbour! Unfortunately I am working late tonight so will not see it for a while yet but it is done!

Wow! .. maybe it's something to do with the fact that the rest of us had credit card companies who stressed out and needed checking? .. mine was still having palpatations from the oops-error trauma of the apple site! .. both of my cards were wrecked because of it!
Mine (ordered Friday 8pm) is now in the hands of DHL definitely so I'm holding out some hope at least!
After my experience, i would stay well clear of PCWorld/Currys/Dixons.
Comet or Apple would be my suggested vendors.
