That's funny! I original order a orange one on lunch day (delivery on 15/04) but after reading all the post from here I had changed my mind to order a red leather case on 03/04. And surprisingly I got a shipping confirmation on 04/04 and received my red leather case this morning :D I hope the ipad2 will do the same as it will dilivery on 25/04 with engraving!

Also I have been order a white wifi 64g from JL last friday and accepted with all the payment (debit card) go through with order confirmation but a hour later I received a phone call from JL for security check ( don't know why) and after answered some personnel details they turned around to say my security check didn't passed and cancel my order without any explanation what is the problems!:eek: So now I just giving up to search any ipad 2 available on th market & waiting for the apple delivery!
 
Wow! Ipad 2 white 3g 64gb dispatched right now from Jigsaw, arriving tomorrow! Guys thanks for all the tips, this thread has been really helpful!
 
Hi everyone. I've been reading this thread from the off, and have found it very useful (although I'm not sure how convincing I am, since I still don't have an iPad 2!)
But it's good to read other people's success stories.

I ordered one at release, online with Apple at 12:30am or whatever ridiculous time it was, but have been trying to get one elsewhere. Tried reserving every day since they started it but that has been a massive failure for me haha. Hoping tonight might be my lucky night!
I've sort of decided I don't want 3G anymore (which is what I have on order) so fingers crossed I can get a Wifi one in person, sometime soon!

Anyway, thanks for all the tips posted in here, it's been really good.

dont give up. i have had mine since saturday, my kids love it and i can use it for work. well worth all the messing around!!:):)
 
Ok, I turned up to the regent st apple store two hours late and they said I wouldn't get my iPad, I politely pointed out that I had to work all day and that it's crazy to expect a customer to pay for something in a 15minute time slot. The manager came over and sorted it out. In fact they were really nice. I got my iPad! Finally.
I can't believe how arrogant the reservation system is, it's like a social experiment. Not the fault of the shop floor staff though.
 
PCW says it's still out of stock, so, when is it going to come in stock?

On a good note... My iPad Red Smart Cover has been shipped today. How embarrassing and saddening... a smart cover without an iPad 2 to go with it. Estimated delivery date for that is tomorrow....

I'm still syncing for the first time and it's taking an age (my fault, making use of having 64GB!) but my iPad shipped with 4.3, not 4.3.1 - the first 23 minutes of the sync was taken up with the 4.3.1 download.

No idea why iTunes takes so long to download things, but that's a moan for a different sub-forum...

Very frustrating again. There waiting at 20.57 refreshing on 2 computers. Time outs and freezing again. Got the one I was after (Black 32Gb 3G) but got time out message after logging in.

I now have 2 on order (one from PCW and one from Currys) with the help of ipad-stock.co.uk and will cancel one when the other ships.

At least I don't have to brave Covent Garden at 0830 again tomorrow.
 
Phoned Apple store at Cabot Circus first thing this morning to confirm pickup time after unexpected successful reservation of a white 32gb +3G iPad last night.

'Come any time you like' was the answer, don't worry about what time slot you selected. And yes, they had lots of the red leather smart covers in stock. Very surprised after trying to order a red smart cover in advance from Apple online store the other day only to find it's the only smart cover with 2-3 weeks delivery. Apple store in Cribbs in Bristol were also out of stock.

Rocked up mid-afternoon after picking up a free O2 sim on the way and all the goodies are now sitting on the bed ready for the big unboxing! I am enjoying this moment like you wouldn't believe.

God, life is going to be very boring when I'm not following this thread every day. Sad geek really!!
 
Managed to get one via my business account today. It does have fairly rubbish light bleed though but I'm not sure I would have noticed it had it not been for forums although it's noticeable I will wait till it looks like there's a fix if one even comes. Gonna hope there's a solution and if not well it's only 12 months before the ipad3 will need to be bought so I'm not too cut up :)

Tan smart cover courtesy of the Tesco price error a few weeks ago. Looks pretty nice. Gonna invisible shield it up tomorrow and away we go.
 
Currys shipping times.

Finally managed to order my Ipad 2 via Currys website thanks to the Ipad Stock website. Was wondering if anyone has any experience of their shipping timescales as i can hardly wait for it to be delivered !!!!!!

Well, I ordered my smart cover yesterday. It shipped today, but still at the Tamworth depot via UPS.

The red leather smart cover looks and smells so good. Worth the money. Reminds me of the beautiful Vaja red leather holster I had on an earlier Touch which cost a lot but was real quality.

Early days yet but the white colour and new slim lighter form makes my black gen 1 with black case feel very clunky! So far absolutely no regrets.
 
Fortunately managed to pick mine up on Monday from PCW near Moorgate Station. Anyway, I hope below information might be useful to some.

After getting my iPad, I went to Apple store at Covent Garden for additional shopping and spoke to one of the staff there. He told me that all stock reservations are not made available at 9pm but rather between 9 to 12 in stages. I can't verify this information and tbh it wasn't my experience, though I should admit I gave up after two successive tries and both times by 9:30.

What did you pick up?
 
I ordered from Tesco Direct yesterday am.Its said delivery would be today (Wednesday) but this morning I received a 'dispatched' email which said delivery would not be until Thursday.I thought they did next day delivery for orders before 12noon?

Also who do they use for delivey? Is it Home delivery network?
 
Yesterday morning at 06:30 I was able to order a 16GB 3G Black from John Lewis, and was quoted 3-5 day delivery.

The order sat in 'processing' for the entire day.

This morning the order has switched to 'dispatched' with a tracking number for 'Business Post iForce Tracking', though no details yet when I try to track it.

I'll keep this updated to help people anticipate John Lewis shipping/delivery times.
 
I got a Gelaskins Custom on the back of my iPad 2 but noticed the bit where it goes over the speaker didn't fit properley and was creating loads of creases in it, tried to re-do it but just looked awful so i cut the bottom bit off. Not that impressed with it in all honesty, think its quite pricey for what it is. Not sure about it at all but it only arrived on Monday, i can't stop using it already, that would be the quickest £30 i've ever wasted!
 
ipad-stock.co.uk very quiet today... :confused: Had an iPad in my John Lewis basket last night, took a couple of minutes to enter details & credit card, then the 'not in stock message ! I have actually given up on the Apple reservation system, awful.
