iPad 2 UK Thread

so is anyone selling their ipad now? how much are people selling theirs here in the UK?
i have my 3month old 32gb wifi but dont know how much they go for.

Have a look on ebay, depends on condition, accessories included, apple care that sort of thing.

He didn't just link to Pocket Gamer. He linked to Bundlebox which is displaying a copy of the HMRC tariff form.

Tax is payable but no duty like he said.

Unless this changes this year.

Just sold mine 32gb wifi with dock and case for £285

Think I shall be pre-ordering mine from the website as I can get a discount through perkz.com through my work. Hope that they will be delivering on the 25th though.

When do people think they'll be ready for pre-order? is it normally a week before release on the website or summet?

Gonna be the 32gb black wifi for me, i really dislike the white ones.

If your in sales so I was told they never use round numbers!

£49.99 sounds cheaper than £50 it is by 1p but to the customer they think its a bargain!

100% we will..... I only really like the black one too but dislike leather and the colours in the plastic are not to my taste, who would want a bright pink or green thing hugging there shiny new ipad?

Do you think Apple will allow other companies to create magnetic smart covers too? Would be good to have a choice of different designs and materials.

Anyone know if, as we are having to wait a couple of weeks extra, the UK will be able to pre-order, perhaps a week before for launch day delivery?
 
When you click on the notify me button on the ipad 2 page it says the following:

"If you’d like to be among the first to get your hands on iPad, just enter your email address in the box below. We’ll notify you when it’s available to buy from an Apple Retail Store or pre-order from the Apple Online Store."

Don't know how I missed it when I put my email in :D

Looks like we can pre order online :apple:

If we can pre-order there is no doubt thats what I will be doing.
 
So far I've gathered I should be OK to buy my 3G iPad when I'm visiting the US as long as I get the GSM version.

But I just wanted to know if AT&T will make me sign up to some sort of contract/data plan instead of just getting it SIM free? Because I'm sure you need a US address to sign up for a data plan plus I have no intention of using it over there.

If anyone knows will you let me know. Many thanks.

No you wont have to sign up on a contract with any of the US service providers. Im pretty sure they will be carrier unlocked when you buy one.

Are you from the UK? because if you plan on using 3G data here you will be able to get the ipad 2 subsidised with either orange or t-mobile. Prices start around £199 on a 2yr data plan.
