Black 64GB Wifi+3G for me, I'm a media freak. Hopefully also a black leather cover, depending on price.

Will be placing an order online on the 25th.

Seriously considering using Bundlebox again and order my 32gb 3g and Black leather cover (gelaskin on back) from the US on the 11th.

After all costs works out about the same, but I get it a week early!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-gb) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

take a look on eBay, there are some fairly decent deals already especially if it gets past customs without being opened.

Which sellers do you trust though?

That's only for their "personal shopper" service. I buy direct from Apple, and use their bundlebox US address for delivery. They then ship to your house. I used my AMEX last year, which seemed to help, where others failed.

I'm ordering again from the US and sending to my Bundlebox address - they were really good last year getting them shipped to us here in the UK. :D

I just have a bad feeling that the UK launch will be delayed due to high demand in the US.

I'm sure this happened with the launch of the iPhone, one year.

is that a decent price second hand? whatever happened to the 'Apple always keep their second hand value high'? :(
I don't think that has ever applied to phones & other mobile devices though, especially as Apple always try their best to render them obsolete after a year! :)

but they change their models on all their range every year anyway?!
ignore me.. i am just ticked off that i cant shift my 3month old ipad for a decent amount of money that i expected.. :(
i was hoping i could sell my ipad for £400 from 499 but Apple reduced theirs to 400

Not sure, i mean i think i can normally tell by the tone of the description as to whether its a scam or not. Theres also the amount of positive feedback, and being protected by paypal to some extent. In general if someones offering you something that seems too good to be true (eg going rate is £800 and you see one advertised for £500) then its a scam

i mean i sold my ipad on ebay and i only had 18 feedbacks beforehand, so you can't go around mistrusting every single person in life :)

/please dont get scammed and come back and blame me

It still applies to phones as they never go cheap out of contract. I get every other iPhone (ie I skip a gen) and each time I've sold my old one for £250+.

Not to crow, but this moment was always coming with the iPad and ideally people who wished to sell should have done so a short while back.

I was fortunate, my head was turned by my 11" MBA so I managed to flog my 32gb 3G for £552 in November.

^^i know. i just didnt expect apple to release the new ipad so soon. i was expecting May.
i thought i would wait for the announcement and see what they have to offer before selling mine...
oh well...

32GB 3G iPad2, Smart Cover and dock should do me fine. :D

I'll give the Bristol Apple Store a go on the 25th - not holding my breath though, and not going to queue up if its in double figures.. So many kids in there on Facebook all the time too.. drives me mad. IT'S NOT A FREE INTERNET CAFE!

Is that true though (about the price being about the same)? I looked earlier and with import tax and shipping it was going to cost around £520 for a 32gb Wifi model. Im sure the UK prices wont be as high as this...

We have the same problem with the Southampton store, too many kids playing on Faceache.

Will be giving my local store a ring, through my mate and then making a decision, either that or might try and order one through work ;)

The Apple Stores in London will be a nightmare so I may just pop round the corner to the big Curry's/PC world store and buy it from there on launch day.

Will they have them on launch day?

Edit: Ahh, so according to their websites they will be stocking them, but no claims of launch day availability though..
