Wow, overcharging for the Smart covers i see, the iPad conversion rates make it £5 cheaper. For that very reason I'll pass, they're already making a neat profit, no need to be greedy.

Haha! Went down to my local CPW (very small here).

The guys were extremely friendly - knew all about the iPad 2, realised I did too, and offered to call in the morning asking if we still wanted them and to reserve anything we wanted!

So happy with these guys, will be buying a lot.

what is the best way to get internet on your ipad with pay as you go? I read about those 12gb/12 month simcards that you can find on amazon and I also saw the 3 mifi that let's you connect up to 5 devices at the same time. My question is, do they all work abroad? I'm traveling at least once a month, that's why I'm looking for pay as you go that i can have everywhere... anybody have an idea?

The best idea is to purchase local SIMs for all the places you go when you're abroad. None of the UK SIMs let you use your data overseas; they will all charge you separate, mind-bogglingly excessive roaming data rates.

Vodafone have a deal where you get your first 25MB per day for £2 on other European Vodafone networks but that's about the best you can hope for. Otherwise roaming data starts at £1/MB and goes way, way up. Whereas if you buy a PAYG SIM on the ground (or on eBay before you go ) you can do a lot better.

There'll be enough stock, no need to queue from now.

are you kidding?! How do you know there'll be enough stock? what if 1,000,000 peeps turned up! I'd be stuck and have to go without. Sod that, not taking the chance!

Come join me, it'll be fun!!

Sent from my iPhone outside a relatively empty Apple Store.

There's a few sim cards that do really good deals abroad, and you don't need to change sim card, they work in all countries, but the costs for the UK are pretty high.

Just seach for "Sim Card Internet abroad" on the goggles.

Haha, thanks for the offer but i'll go on friday, last years launch had a lot of stock which is probably due to there being pre-orders, but hopefully its not too busy. 5 hour wait....awaits. :p

Smart Cover Pricing

Quite happy with the SC pricing, thought it was going to be a $ for £ job like they did with original case, glad we got them at a more resonable price not £39 & £69.

Looking forward to launch day now we are all clearer on details I can relax a bit for a couple of days.

Really tempted to go que for this...hmm

or should i just order online? if i miss out..then what. hmm

You could always order online and then queue as well, if you manage to get one just cancel the online order! Of course that's dependent on them not shipping it on Friday!!

Word from one of the uk networks is that they won't be receiving loads of stock? Not sure if this bothers anyone, but I imagine Apple stores will be okay.

Thats the thing, would i be able to cancel the order. I would be too worried that i would end up paying twice.

Can you not return the one delivered by apple online within a set period of time?
