Hey Guys,

I live in Bristol so I'm going to head to either the Cribbs Causeway or Cabot Circus Apple store, undecided yet. Or... do people think that pretty much every Apple store across the country will see lengthy queues and as a result is it perhaps better to go to PC World, Comet or the other retailers mentioned? I haven't queued up on launch day before so don't really know what to expect! :)

Dan

Anyone getting one from Liverpool 1?

I'm trying to decide whether to either queue up outside the Liverpool One store from like 9-10am ready for the 5pm launch, or, order at 1am online...

Questions if anyone can help:
a) You reckon 9-10am is early enough to ensure a good place in line?
b) How long could I be waiting for it if I order it online? If it can be as soon as Saturday (next day) then I'll do that but I reckon I'm dreaming
c) Can I pre-order?
d) I would go into a comet/pc world but have £400 apple giftcard. Can I get a refund on that?

Cheers...

Another long time loiterer - first time poster.

If my local PC world in Bristol store isn't on that list - does that mean it wont have any stock? Its a big one with an equally large curry's literally next door - I would hope that between them they might have a few in??

My rugby and coventry branches are twinned currys/pcworlds and apparently arent getting any stock...

Just revived this email from PC World. Confirms iPad 2 on Friday at 17:00

could you post the link to the find a store link from the add?

i just had the currys one hit my inbox to find out that there are only 5 stores in the north that are saying there going to have some instock on friday!

Comet are taking pre-orders NOW I paid a £50 deposit for a 16gb black wifi tonight.

Can't see apple refunding a giftcard but don't know for sure.

i havent had the currys one. could you post a link to the list of stores or show or tell us all the stores?
:apple:

Haven't hankered around the shops too much here in Swindon, but the local PC World isn't on the list online, so i'm guessing that Currys won't have any either.
May have luck with the two Argos stores here, and Comet is a pretty small store so probably won't have any. Anyone in Swindon been in contact with either of those stores?

The Apple Reseller confirmed that they are getting some in stock though, so they'll probably be my port of call after an early college finish on Friday :D

Good luck to everyone hoping to get one :)

How do you know about PC World? Was planning a lucky run to Greenbridge. Had my fingers crossed there being a PC World, Currys and Argos I'd get lucky.

Western Computers seems a okay bet. Might even try the Carphone Warehouse in Marlborough on the way to Swindon.

Curses. Looks like my route home on Friday might be a little longer than first anticipated. I am planning on avoiding the apple store queues - I have a very low boredom threshold!

The list of Curry and PC World store that have an Apple section/department is old. The list doesn't have the two near me.

I suppose it really depends from where it is shipped from, if its UK then I am confident in getting it quite quick depending on the courier they use.

I'm was hoping to get mine on line from the apple store too, but after reading this thread I'm going to try to get one on friday too.

It's 16GB. And the pricing matches what was released from Apple. I think I will put my faith in Comet, just this one time.

I stand corrected!!! I didn't see that price list Apple released....well done then! Great the price is less than the original iPad (when it was first released)! Comet,,,well, this time they won me over..... roll on Friday!:)

I'm going to Western Computer in Leamington or maybe KRCS here in Cov. Kinda stupid that out Currys/PC Worlds don't have any considering the size of Cov.

I know man! Its crazy, im gonna try the individual currys tomorow, got 2 more to try. Tempted by KRCS but west orchards is so small I cant imagine theyre getting more than like 6.
