no idea if there is, but basically if you're not in a decent sized town or city, no chance. go into your local HMV and ask, the 2 i've been into (newbury and chelmsford) were upfront about it and said they're deffo not getting any.

I've asked the two stores near me already. One said a definite no, the other said they wouldn't know until Thursday evening, or even Friday morning if they were getting any.

At least that wasn't a definite no !
 
Going back to the Argos discussion, Soundburst, do you know if we can reserve the iPads for collection before going in at 5pm? as that is my main plan, if that fails i'm relying on ordering at 1am.

We should expect an update to the Argos website at some point tomorrow with iPad 2 details.

It's currently down for an update so it could possibly even update overnight.
 
EVERYONE should order at 1am on Friday if you want to have an iPad within a week...

I imagine that Apple wouldn't offer ordering online at 1am if there was a 4 week delay like in the US - I imagine there is stock at warehouses in the UK specifically for those of us in the UK.

You can always cancel your order should you be able to get one in store that evening but lets be realistic.

Stock will be short. There will be lots of demand. And if you don't queue from Lunchtime you may not get an iPad at all.

The best play is order online then go and see what you can get.

Now all I need is a lovely red leather cover for my white iPad 2 in front of me now...

Once iPads are in stock at your local store - they can be reserved.

You won't be able to know if they're in stock unless you phone up or go in person and have them check the system.

They go on the system once theyre received via delivery which could be any day - you just need to keep checking. You won't be able to do it on the Internet (I assume) so best bet is to keep phoning.

You can do a network enquiry from another store also.
 
UK Prices

Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but does anyone have a clear indication to what the UK price scale is like??

Looking to get a 64GB wifi only...

But some posts suggest an affordable price for even the 64GB 3G.
