Ah, brilliant. Still no iPad UK pricing, UK release date, UK availability, UK data plans... but at least we can see what the UK prices will be for the apps. At least we've got something! :)

That whole april fools thing that macrumors has going with the images a bit rotated is the most annoying thing ever lol.

For those complaining about high prices...
What you're forgetting is that when the iPhone App Store launched, there were some crazy prices. $10-$15 for big name games Tetris and Scrabble. It took a few months of 99¢ games to start lowering the overall expected prices for apps. I expect the same here.

Yeah, I didn't get the iPhone until after the app store had been out a few months. It's certainly going to be a difficult wait :)

Some of these prices are kind of outrageous. ESPN scorecenter is free on the iPhone, their website is free, but they are charging $4.99 for the iPad.

I know that ESPN is completely overhauling the Scorecenter app for the iPhone, so it may not be free once it's released.

app store

the whole app store is just puking, cannot DL on iphone or on laptop, just times outs and then gives errors, xys@gmail.com has no updates, etc. etc. Overload?

If the iPad apps have significant more functionality, I'll bite. I'll even pay more than for an iPhone app, but they better include the iPhone version.

Couldn't agree more. It is OK to pay a bit more for better functionality, but throwing in the iPhone app as well would really seal the deal for me. I bet a fair amount of people will have both iPhone & iPad, and I have a hard time seeing many people buying the same individual app for two so similar platforms.

I doubt I would buy any of those apps at those prices (except the free one!), especially if I already have the same app for cheaper on my iPhone. I may buy a few apps, such as Pages and Keynote, but not nearly as many as I bought for $3 or less for my iPhone. For $3 or less, I would be tempted to buy an app I wasn't sure I would like or use that much, but for $10, nope.

Yes! Would love to get an iPad version of Settlers of Catan and many more.

Also, does anyone know of any good RTS or Turn-based in the styles of Starcraft, Warcraft or Heroes 3 out now for the iPhone and/or coming to the iPad?:)

Age of Wonders' Small World board game is out for the iPad

I'm excited to see if the iPad apps market will differ from the iPhone market.

I'm encouraged so far by the higher prices. Coupled with the expectation that people will be paying for some media that was once free... maybe we'll see a different breed of developers and less crapware.

Apple keeps track of your app purchases, right? It would be nice if they could offer a small "upgrade fee" for purchasing iPad apps that you've already bought for the iPhone. It could be similar to the fee they charge for upgrading your previously purchased 128 kbps AAC songs to iTunes Plus.

saw a few cool ones, especially for my son. there is a Dora the Explorer coloring book. nothing to make me buy it at launch though. i'll wait for the iFans to pay back the prices of hyping this thing up and the ridiculous security to make sure it's not delivered before saturday.

and flash memory prices are supposed to drop by 50% later this year and if Apple keeps on selling it then there will be more nice apps

I hope this higher price point crap goes away....fast.

These are recycled iPhone/iPod apps made to fit a larger screen and we're already seeing $9.99 and up as the norm?

The HD revisions, I can sort of understand....more work goes into them, it's not just resizing an app. I will absolutely pay $9.99 for Plants Vs Zombies HD (if its actually HD and not just the mac version with the iPhone controls on my iPad...) but for a $2.99 app that is "converted" to fit the iPad screen and shoots up to $9.99....that isn't going to fly.

DO NOT LIKE.

Will text apps be "blurry"? Such as the Kindle Reader App or the text will automatically scale to the screen dimensions. I didn't see any reviews that mention this.

Umm, holy ****!

I just checked out SketchBook Pro on the app store, the screenshots are amazing! There appears to be five pages of brush styles to use! And the interface is much better than SketchBook mobile.

Best of all, it only costs $8! Amazing. I'll probably buy this and Brushes before I even get an iPad.
