Is everyone's eyes not working? I can see the iPad on the right is definitely yellow a little bit, probably to bother someone that demands perfection. I am one of those guys and no doubt the OP is too. I would take it in to Apple and show them.

Trust me, I'm just as sensitive to yellowing/dead pixels/dust under the screen as anyone. You should have seen the number of iPhone's I went through when the 3G came out. But as hard as I'm looking, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong here. Each LCD is going to have minor variations in color temperature. It's entirely normal and expected.

Such a small difference isn't worth the hassle of taking the iPad back. And, it's not worth the risk of getting an iPad that is more yellow, littered with dead pixels, or has dust under the screen.

I don't "see" yellow, but what I do notice is that the left is cooler than the warmer, right-side. Could be adjusted via brightness... no? Were they both set to the same display settings?

Yep it is just got back from Apple now all three are pure white, it a shame I could live with it if I didn't have 2 pure white ones.

First of all... the camera will have its own effect... then, we have our own screens that are influencing it....

Just because it's warmer than your Mac (cool) doesn't mean it's a problem...

Bring it into an Apple store and compare to other iPads...

First off, I am getting an iPad 3g. To me, the iPad is fantastic. However, I am concerned about this issue (the one on the right is definitely yellow). Also, calling it "warmer" doesn't change anything, except it gives Apple an excuse not to fix it.

Geez, I don't know what is more disheartening; the yellow screens or the fanbois that can't see it.

I've tried to examine the variations in photoshop.

There is no variation except for what's due to the angle of the iPad in the photographs.

HA! Fanboys because the picture is terrible, and it obviously doesn't capture the difference between the two? Is the right one a little warmer? Maybe.

Is the difference so severe that it requires a replacement? Not at all.

Take a look in this thread and compare the pictures. You'll find that the issues are world apart!

By the way, I think you should get your monitor calibrated.

Yes it is yellow, I can see it Apple can see it, if some of you can't I am sorry you can't .

You can see it in the right photo,

Its just the angle you're looking at it... same with most of the 27 inch bitching about yellowing.... its THE ANGLE....

You can see it in the right photo,

I can see it in the second photo posted...couldn't see it in your pic.

By the way...who cares if anyone can see it???? You are the one who paid for it, so if it bothered you then I don't blame you for trying to resolve the problem.

What's disheartening is listening to folks throw out the "fanboy" arguement when people disagree with them or don't see things from their point of view.

LOL! The picture on my monitor is quite clear on how yellow the right one is.

Drac, I think you are the one who needs their monitor calibrated.

Seriously, I'm not saying this to be an ass, but if you see the right one as much more yellow than the first, you either have a crappy or uncalibrated monitor.

I'm a graphic designer and photographer, so I obviously have a keen eye for color. And, I have a PROFESSIONALLY calibrated monitor. And still, I can't see a significant difference in color. I'm not saying that there isn't a temp. difference in real life, but if you see a significant difference in this picture, you're nuts.

As a test, import the picture into Photoshop and mess with it a bit. There is a negligible difference in color, if any. So, your eye is better than what Photoshop can identify?

I know the picture isn't the greatest but the right one is very yellow.
Apple looked at a few before giving me a replacement. It looks great they now are all blue white.

Not true. Those who have had multiple replacements can confirm that they ALL had some yellow but in varying degrees. Some more clean than others. If it were merely a viewing angle problem, then they would see the identical amount of yellow on each unit. Since it is more pronounced on some and less on others, indicates that it is NOT a viewing angle issue. But yes, under normal conditions, slight variance may be perceived depending upon the angle extremity being used.

Correct, it IS yellowed, i'm a photographer, i work with calibrated screens all day everyday, i could spot the one on the right was yellowed instantly.

Mine has light coming from where the bezel meets the screen when viewing at an extreme angle. There are two points of light on the topside when holding landscape with the volume button at top. Does anyone else have this?

Yellow tint around edges of screen only

Does anyone else have this issue? I seem to have a yellowish tint on the edges of the screen around the border only.

Some of you people are insane. Too bad we aren't talking LCD televisions, which have the same variations, if not more. Samsung, Sony, and the like, would tell you to go jump in the lake after one exchange. It is even stated on their users guide that it is 'normal' for all LCD screens to experience some variation.

Thank you:). My over 3 year old MBP is color calibrated and my photos look fantastic however, with a light gray screen it shows more yellow than the crayola crayon box (slight exaggeration).

If it's bad enough and you can't live with it exchange it. Apple is really good about those kind of things.

My wifi looks great, but just fired up my 3G and the yellowing is AWFUL. Really disappointing because my wifi had no issues whatsoever.
