using a white background on your ipad, hold it perpendicular to your waist at exactly a 32.5 degree angle under a yellow tinted light while standing on one foot...

Why the bad info? You know damn well that your right hand has to be in blue jeeze.

Thank you. I just spent the last 20 minutes Googling this and couldn't find the answer. FWIW, I have found that you get more consistent results when standing on your left foot. YMMV.

I dunno...when i use my left foot its got a green tint. i see more of the yellow tint when im on my right foot.

You need to keep things in perspective! When the wifi units were release three were 100x the threads complaining about numerous issues. If the majority of 3G units were defective like you are insinuating, what do you think would be dominating this forum?

LOL!

Are we sure there is not a jealousy thing going on?

Jealous of what? I had 2 bad yellow screens one on my wifi and now on the G3, my other 2 ipads were fine both wifi.

The thing is unless you have a pure white iPad you might only see a tint of yellow .
When you have them side by side they scream yellow.

I have seen over 10 People Report Bad LCD's on here.

Dead Pixels, Yellowing Screen and Light Bleed along the right side of the screen.

Make that one more...

Turned on my 64GB Wi-Fi & 3G after work last night noticed that the both the lock screen and home screen 'shift'...

The lock screen shifts up and down with finger swipes so that the AT&T/Time/Battery Level bar disappear from the screen when I swipe upwards, only to return to the screen when I swipe downwards.

The home screen repeatedly does a subtle auto-zooming in and out when I hit the home key from within an app, and once it returns to the home screen the bar disappears half-way off of the screen. If I rotate it into landscape mode, the bar disappears altogether.

Have a Genius Bar appointment later this morning, will be interested to see what they have to say.

Same issue I have with my 3G. My wifi is a nice white but the 3G has a yellow tint. If I didn't have the wifi then I probably wouldn't notice the yellow on the 3G, but it bothers me and will be going back.

Yep it's hard on the eyes the yellow that is...

Curious that this doesn't seem to be a hot issue on the Apple support forums. Usually that is ground zero when there is a widespread issue. Based on that it seems like those that are getting yellow tint screens are w/i normal manufacturing defect rates same as those that get screens w/ dead pixels.

Same here. Didn't use the wifi yesterday, so not noticing the yellow as much on the 3G today. Still have bleeding, so am taking back for fix/replace. Maybe it will meet the quality if the wifi, because it is amazing.

iPhone 3GS had the same problem. It ticks me off to no end. My phone on the right..

funny, both phones have exact same time and battery percentage and are at exactly the same screen.....

To everyone thtat's not having issues: PLEASE stop posting!

I'm really happy for you that everything is perfect... But the rest of us are not making this up!

All you're doing is tossing a bunch of noise into a serious thread where people are trying to get info. Go make your own thread about how we're all idiots... But stay out of the threads with people genuinely asking for help / advice.

I actually prefer the screen on the right personally. Also, is it just coincidence that these two happen to have the exact amount of battery life remaining? Photoshop? Hmmm.
