that happened to have the exact same battery life at the exact same time? lol how very precise of you :p and my iphone had a yellow screen too so not disputing that lol

I actually prefer the screen on the right personally. Also, is it just coincidence that these two happen to have the exact amount of battery life remaining? Photoshop? Hmmm.

Yes to both of you. His had like 2 or 3% more so I had him run it down. I just used the settings menu on both. As for the time - there both synced to AT&T so they would be the same time. Lol.

I really don't mind if people don't believe it. Point of the matter is the screens are a terrible yellow. :(

I agree; the left screen looks too blue. My ipad also has the similar yellow screen syndrome. Not sure if I like it or dislike it yet.

Lemme guess...the same people that have yellow issues are the same people that have dead pixels and bleeding.

Amirite?

Nope.

All my 3GS phones have been fine except for the yellow screens. My first 3G phone had the gasket around the screen popping out. I had it exchanged and later on the screen developed a dead pixel. Didn't bother me. That screen was also nice and white.

Oh and speaking of which, would this be acceptable to you even though it's "bleeding"?

No. Little or no bleeding on mine. As for dead pixels, I haven't checked very carefully, but as long as they don't bug me, I don't really care.

I had a 32gb model that is sickly yellow, which was switched out at the apple store today, no this one has the same problem. I wonder if it is a problem with the displays on just the 32gb models?

This entire thread just shows exactly why we need manufacturing and quality control in the US instead of overseas!! Kidding I know it will never happen and not sure it'd even be any better

My 16 had the yellowing my 32 is fine.

very interesting! just got back from the apple store and the g.b. swapped it out again with a 32gb, same yellowing issue! so they are going to return it so I can either get the 64 or 16. bad luck i guess!

Same issue I have with my 3G. My wifi is a nice white but the 3G has a yellow tint. If I didn't have the wifi then I probably wouldn't notice the yellow on the 3G, but it bothers me and will be going back.

Funny, my wifi has the yellow tint compared to my 3G. Didn't notice it before till I got the 3G next to it to compare the screens.

Anyone else have smudges under their glass? I have what looks like two fingerprints on mine only they aren't on the outside of the glass. I can't see them when the display is off, but when it's on and displaying a black background they're pretty obvious.

I ordered online and there isn't an Apple store anywhere near me. I guess I'll just deal with it...

0-4 in swapping for ipads. Yesterday I exchanged my 32 for a 64 and its even worse! Brand new in the box, I wonder if I really have bad luck or a lot more ipads have yellowing then not?

I guess its a crapshoot whether you'll get the yellowish display or the bluer display. Seems to depend on who manufactured the yellowish displays as I guess they did both wifi and 3G apparently.

you are just lying, and are trolling this board to make apple look bad, your pics were adjusted manually, and one and the same picture just changed to make look bad.

please mods ban him !

iPhone 3GS had the same problem. It ticks me off to no end. My phone on the right..

Yes, I go around the internet making things up and wasting my time. I am trying really hard to make Apple look bad. Even though I have owned a 3G and my current 3GS and plan on picking up the 4G if it's good. Seems Apple is making itself look bad all on it's own, no help needed - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2048495&start=0&tstart=0

Yup, I am a lying troll alright! So says the man with 8 posts :)

you do relizee your the one who is the troll? coming on here aquesing people of lying just because they said mean things about god (apple).

Anyway about the yellow screen issue, it seems to happen a lot with apple products  It's the reason i decided against getting an Iman. It's ridiculous really.

I have a Mac Pro, 2 MBpros, iPhone, iPad, airport..... Basically every single apple product you can buy.
You know, I've gotta come back to this. Let's see... between my brother and I alone (not included the rest of the nuclear family, even), we currently own two MacBookPros, a MacBook, two iMacs, two iPod Touches, three iPod Classics, an iPod Nano, an iPod Shuffle, a Time Capsule, and an AirPort Express. And that's not even including the stuff that's come and gone between 2001 (when he started it all by bringing a iBook G3 into the house) and now.

So, now that we're done rubbing one out to how much money we've respectively spent... was there a point to your post?

Has anyone exchanged their iPad and have no yellowing on the screen at all?

I'm 0-4. It's been hard to settle since I know they are out there but I can't seem to have any luck. Only if I knew which model would have a higher possibility for a no yellow screen, I would be all over it. I will not quit though, even if I have to wait a little while before I purchase one again.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. I went through 12 iPhone 3GS' before I finally gave up. No crisp, white screen in sight! :( Just varying degrees of piss yellow.

I think I have gotten used to mine. It is definitely a little yellow (compared to my iphone 3GS, which is blue-white). But the last couple of days I've stopped noticing the yellowness. Then today I saw someone else's ipad, and it looked too blue and wrong. I think it is largely a matter of getting used to the white point, and our eyes do the rest!
