Ooooh, sorry I didn't see the * so I just put in #100# and it came back with unknown command. Lol. Sorry about that and thankyou sooo much. :)
 
Am I the only one that has butterfly type nerves in their stomach as I await this toy? Honestly I'm embarassed and ashamed of myself acting like a big child! :eek:
 
So for the sake of me not having to trawl through pages of posts (because, you know, i'm being lazy), say I was thinking about getting the 3G iPad, what would be the best/cheapest/most efficient way of getting a 3G connection? I've seen people talking about myfi(??) and cutting up sim cards? I have always thought I would just get the Wifi only iPad, but starting to consider 3G. Can someone explain to me the best way to get a good deal on the 3G?

Cheapest is got for the deal with Three, check their website. IF Three isn't good where you are then all the carriers are offering deals. Check their websites.
Sorry I should answer a bit more comprehensively but I am a bit lazy too :)

Not the only one :) I feel like a big child and am enjoying every minute of it. (Of course, there is the argument that we're all just big children.)

According to TNT, my iPad left Nuneaton at 15:35. It has about 100 miles to reach it's new home :)
 
I certainly hope, after so many months of this thread, we see everyone come back to it tomorrow, for the final day of waiting.
 
I have been speaking to my local depo all day, they confirmed it was out for delivery tomorrow so I've cancelled it and am going to collect it at 7:00am tomorrow :). My local depo is Nueaton where apparently they all go first. They are open 24 hours (well mine is) so give them a call, you may be able
to as well.

I have the butterflies/childish sickness too, it's like Christmas :D
 
Delivery due tomorrow from TNT. I've looked up my local depot and am amazed to find it's 2.6 miles away. Working from Nuneaton five hours ago (100 miles), it's entirely possible that my iPad is in a box, just over two-and-a-half miles from where I'm sitting. Blimey.
 
Well, it's been fun guys. After this long, agonizing wait, we are finally coming to the end of the line. I won't be purchasing an iPad anymore, but I am excited for all of you people who are getting one! It feels like April 3rd on the forums all over again.

Special thanks go to Boblister, QEII Student IT and a few others for helping me make the right decision whether to get an iPad or a PowerBook. I really appreciate it that you all took time out of your day to help me out.

Enjoy your brand new, shiny iPads and thanks for the ride everyone. It has been great fun indeed.

So after being convinced it would be delivered on friday the apple site is now saying it will be delivered tomorrow! Which is a bit of a buggar as I will be at work all day. UPS is not showing billing Info received so isn't really much help. Hopefully if they attempt delivery tomorrow they will drop it with a neighbour. Nearly there folks! Off to sort out some apps now I think.
 
As much as you may want it to, it will not come tomorrow. It may be hard to believe but there have been others who have received shipments as well and went through all of this. They will come on the 28th as Apple said they will. Not one day sooner.

What even if the Apple Site says 27th, TNT confirm that they will deliver it on the 27th, and people in other countries have got them early (Specifically Switzerland)

C'mon...
 
Just spoke to TNT, they said even though it doesn't come out till the 28th they are delivering on the 27th. They aren't holding them back or anything.
 
Why does everyone here live in Nuneaton!?

My iPad is in Holland, and I live on the Isle of Man, which is an extra plane ride for my iPad, so I'm not expecting mine till Saturday

Im sure that some of us will get them tomorrow, and some won't due to their location.

Sure. Why not. I will even go so far as to offer one now if I am incorrect, but I do not think so. My iPad is a US version that was shipped via Fedex. It was delivered on Friday but arrived at my local Fedex on Wednesday evening. They held it until Friday as per Apples delivery instructions. So we will see.

Was that at the initial launch before anyone else in the world had any?

For the wifi version, I simply walked into the Apple store and got them. For the 3G version I ordered online and they were delivered.

No I am referring to the one you say that was held by Fedex and delivered on the Friday. Was the iPad in common circulation before then? Because if it wasn't then I can understand being held back. But a lot have already got them in the UK already, in fact I have one on my own knee at the moment. So whats the point of holding back, the mystique has been and gone quite a few weeks ago. I think Apple will be more concerned in trying to make sure they are out by Friday if they can as the poor folk over here feel a tad pissed off with the wait as it is. So if letting them go a day early eases the workload on what looks like an already stretched delivery system. Do you think they will risk it?
