One wonders why Apple is letting every Apple employee outside the US sit with their thumbs firmly up their arses rather than work on the international release, it's not like updating the international stores with info is going to interfere with the US launch in any way at all.

They're milking the free publicity (again) and letting us stew. All this anticipation might win a few more sales, eh?

Is yours showing in the arrived shipments bit yet? Mine arrived same time as yours according to UPS tracking, but not showing on the Bundlebox site yet.

Mines showing as delivered but nothing the the arrived shipments yet. Not really expecting to until later today, I expect its going to take them time to work through them all.

I know, but Apple's idea of an "unbelievable price" in rip-off Britian might be vastly different to ours.

"Unbelievable" goes both ways - lower than we hoped, and higher. If it cost a thousand quid for the base model and required you to hock yer granny for medical experiments to boot, it would still qualify as "unbelievable". Just not in a good way. ;)

Argh, ffs, this is a bad scene - no price, no launch date, no-nuffin-no-way. How do grown adults (I am one, allegedly !) get so wound up in this stuff ? What is wrong with me ? :)

just starting to bid on ebay now, hoping to pick 16gb up for £400 or so, they are still making a tidy profit at that and im paying the predicted normal UK price so win win for all apart from VAT and damn carriage but hay i can claim them back from my business :D

Hey guys,

I ordered an iPad via ebay, but I'm worrying about activation now. I saw on the engadget unboxing that it requires activation via iTunes. Do you think we will be able to do this from the UK via our accounts?

Anyone able to put my mind at rest??

Thanks

First of all, you've failed.

Yes I think you can.

Open an US iTunes account - not sure why there will be a warranty issue though. Is Apple just being awkward?

Why have I failed?! lol I got quite a good deal on ebay a few weeks back. £410 for the 16GB wifi. I cant imagine it will be much less over here.

Can we not talk about important here please? It's not relevant to UK launch news at all.

If the website was updated, I'd feel a bit more optimistic about getting preorder and launch soon... but it doesn't look good when the site doesn't even feature the Guided Tours and stuff. Hell, for some reason they've even taken away the iPad panel from the store while leaving it in the other European stores.

Come on web team!

It's not really impatient when Steve Jobs announced a "global launch in 60 days".... pretty much 60 days ago.

For what its worth I was in the Westfield Apple store and asked about the Ipad pricing and availability dates. The "Genius" said they it should be clear after Easter!
