If there is no announcement even for the UK pricing on monday then I'm not buying one. I will use my money for a holiday instead which is probably the smarter thing to do anyway.

There won't be an announcement Monday its a bank holiday. If its going to be next week it will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday

Why have I failed?! lol I got quite a good deal on ebay a few weeks back. £410 for the 16GB wifi. I cant imagine it will be much less over here.

Well, that iPad costs £328. How much are you paying for P+P and when are you expecting it?

Ah yes that I forgot about... hmmm

Then tuesday or wednesday it is.

It's very lame that we havnt even been told how much the thing is going to cost us... it feels like there just going to say "Out now for blah blah!" and expect people to hype buy it.

Its very different over here. That's not going to happen.

Any idea what this blank space is?

Why is it £328. $499 works out to about £350 and it's likely that apple will inflate their prices for the UK anyway.

410 was including P&P and I expect VAT will be about £50-60. the iPad is not subject to import duties, so it's only VAT to pay.

I accept that im probably going to be paying about 30-50 more than the UK price, but im happy to pay that for getting it 3 weeks early. I'm expecting it on Thurs/Friday.

Nothing wrong with site. But I still find it odd that they moved the "iPad - Find out more" panel from the UK store but kept it in the other European stores.

I dont even see the problem of letting us know the price. The prices would have been set weeks ago.. they already know them so why not just tell us them.

It was apparently due to them getting a high number of calls enquiring how to order as people thought that link should take them to an order page.

My iPad UK Pricing estimates

I'm guessing the basic 16GB WiFi iPad which is $499 so, I think it will cost around £350 - 400 then, + £60 - 70 for each flash memory upgrade then, + £75 - 90 to upgrade to the 3G version.

Making it,
16GB WiFi = £350 - 400
16GB WiFi + 3G = £425 - 440
32GB WiFi = £410 - 420
32GB WiFi + 3G = £500 - 530
64GB WiFi = £480 - 490
64GB WiFi + 3G = £540 - 600

That is forgetting the infamous :apple: UK Pricing TAX!! After, adding on the tax the prices will be a bit higher!!

Actually, $499 is £328 as of current, and very minor changes within the past few weeks. You appear to be paying for the second tier of P+P therefore total of £422. However, I've not accounted for everything, i.e I've gone to the exact stuff. Additionally, the product value appears not to have been calculated correctly, and customs (do check) so they can withold your package for investigation. You'll probably purchase an iPad charger, so add £20 onto that.

You cannot get AppleCare on it, and an Apple "Genius" reserves the right now to service your iPad, which many excercise regularly/thoroughly. There is no import duty.
I'd rather pay the full lot and get AppleCare with a UK charger for slightly more.

Looks like the site just hasn't rendered properly in your browser. The iPods and Apple TV should be to the right of the iPhones not below them.

Crappy browser rendering? What are you using IE6?

I'm using Google Chrome for the Apple website - viewing them in IE 8 or 9 just crashes the browser temporarily, or it's just slow.

eh thats without the taxing? I think your prices are weird. The current convo rate would make the ipad from $499 to around £330.

So even with tax added on that it wouldnt reach £450 so where do you get that from? and how are your prices that high WITHOUT tax? :S not a chance sorry

The text rendering is horrible. And the site does not render like in the latest version of Chrome on OS X, are you using an old version?

Nope, Chrome on Windows - ok, it renders properly in IE 9.

This is why I use IE9 a lot more than other browsers.

I dont need a UK charger, I have a US to UK plug laying around. I dont understand what you mean about the "second tier P&P". I paid a guy £410 on ebay for everything, including P&P with the USPS.

Update!!

I last updated the currency rates on the currency app on my iPod Touch 20 days when it was that high but, now I see it would cost £330.

Doesn't USPS only deliver in the US, and a partner pick it up in the UK? Something just isn't adding up. Do you have the auction URL?

USPS deliver to the UK with Fedex. Why are you saying it doesn't add up? My auction ended at $609 and P&P is costing $31. The guy over in the US is making a nice $110 profit and im paying about £420 depending on the exchange rate.
